I have an unpopular opinion about the cosmere (at least i think it’s unpopular): I really do not like (hate?) Kelsier as a person (as a character he’s very well written). He’s just straight up a bad person, and I think in the long term had a really negative impact on Vin. Obviously the crew taught her to trust others, which is great, but she does so many terrible things later on in the series because “it’s what kelsier would do,” and it takes her such a long time to move on from that. idk…. i’m curious how others feel about this so please let me know!

after finishing elantris (this most recent read and the first time) I am struck by how criminally underrated this book is. its like so good??? the plot is great and the writing is witty and funny. idk why i feel like ppl don't like it, maybe cause someone i talked to said it was their least favorite idk. but whatever, highly recommend this as a good book to read if you want to get into the cosmere or if you just want to read the book on its own. good either way!
