This took me quite a long time and I'm not even finished: I want to draw the current status of the shards, including the double shards Harmony and Retribution. But I am really pleased with how this came out.

I tried to go with canon information when available, but there is almost no information on some of the shards so I just went with my own vibes. So then, I decided to go with a "stained glass" look, as if the creator of this piece is an in-universe artist, who knows of the shards but hasn't seen them in person. Hopefully this will age nicer if it turns out my designs are far from canon.

Every shard influences the people it has power over differently

And you can see what planet worldhoppers are from, but this doesn't affect the plot

read about Brandon Sanderson saying both steris and renarin were written as an attempt two to write a good autistic character cause he felt like he didn't do well with his first attempt

no shade to Brando, i absolutely adore steris and renarin and he definitely did great with them, but that being said after reading elantris i uh. i see why he tried again. elantris is up there with my faves but man. numbers boy.

Being in the cosmere fandom is such a humbling experience bc one half of the fandom are artists with the most gorgeous art you have ever seen and the other are theorists coming up with most insane hypothesis that require a phd in fabrial quantum machanics to actually get and with a better understanding of a fictional magic system than real life physics. While I'm just over here in the corner like, "Do you want to talk about our lord and savior Jasnah Kholin?"

I don't think we appreciate how much of a departure Elantrians and the AonDor is from the rest of the Cosmere. Like Surgebinding and the Metallic Arts are very focused in their capabilities and its all creative applications of their abilities. Awakening is closer in vibe with how open ended it can be, but drop the AonDor next to a more rudimentary magic system, and it's the Wizard War meme to its full extent.

Here I am eating tin cans so I can have special eyes and misophonia while the blue people over there are casting "Kidney Bones," a specially crafted Aon that redirects all the calcium in your skeleton straight to your kidneys so you simultaneously get osteoporosis and kidney stones.
