How would cg!Mike deal with a little reader who's overtired and on the verge of a tantrum?

Definitely would be frustrated at first. You kept whining because he just couldn't understand you!

He sighs rubbing a hand over his face. He had gotten home around an hour ago and already brought Abby to bed, but now he was dealing with little you who was getting more worked up each time he tried to figure out what was bothering you.

"Listen, I'm really trying but you do need to tell me what's wrong for me to help you, alright?" he says standing before the TV and you crossed your arms pouting up at him from your position on the ground before the couch.

"Are you hungry?"

"No."

"You want to draw something?"

"Noooo."

He could see the tears well up in your eyes and he knows you're very close to a tantrum, which is the last thing he wants to happen after the day he had.

The moment you rubbed your eyes and let out a little yawn he sighed in relief at finally figuring out what got you so moody and whiny.

Without saying anything he turned off the TV, ignoring your grunt of disapproval and held his hand out for you, glad you comply and intertwined your fingers with his.

In his room you let out a surprised yelp when he suddenly picked you up and let himself fall back first on the bed with you on top of him, smiling a little when you started to giggle.

"So, I can either read to you or we listen to something, you choose baby." he offers and you sit up thinking for a moment.

"Read to me...pwease?"

5 minutes later you were in your jammies, cuddled up into Mike's side and watching him flip through the pages, the rumbling from his chest as he reads lulling you slowly to sleep.

Plot: Mike comforts Little! Will after their fight

"I said FORGET it, Mike!" Will shouts before pushing past Lucas and running up the stairs.

Mike stands there, frozen for a moment as deja vu of the last time Will left alone runs through his head. He only takes a second before he runs up the stairs after him, taking them 2 at a time.

"Will come on. You can't leave, it's raining" Mike pleads with Will, desperation seeping into his town as he catches his boyfriend's arm.

Will turns around with his signature wide eyes and Mike lets out a soft "Oh" when he realises that he's little.

"Hi kiddo" Mike says softly, sinking to the floor with him when Will attaches to his shirt and promptly drops to the floor. "Wanna tell me whats going on buddy?" He prompts, gently carding through his hair.

"Changing. You and Lucas and Dustin don't wanna play with me anymore" Will mumbles into his chest. Mike's surprised by how articulate he is. Usually, when Will is little, he communicates by mumbling or pointing. Mike makes a note in the back of his head that Will isn't fully little yet, already speedrunning a plan to get his now-little boyfriend comfortable and soft.

"Aw, I know bubs. But we still wanna play with you. I'm sorry that we've been so busy." Mike apologises, still running his fingers through his boyfriend's hair, chuckling softly when Will keens into his touch. "Tell you what, how about we send Lucas home and I'll run you a bath, then I can make you some chicken nuggets and we'll watch Scooby doo and have a little night?"

Will just nods into his chest, having fully slipped. Mike just laughs softly again, easily gathering Will up and carrying him inside, eager to dote on him.
