Happy birthday Spinel!
I'm too late for the movie anniversary and too early for the AU anniversary but when have I ever been timely.

I'm too late for the movie anniversary and too early for the AU anniversary but when have I ever been timely.

I couldn’t help myself. The design potential was growing on me exponentially.
ANYWAY, here are six versions of CrystalGem!Spinel. Half of which are inspired by medieval bards, and the others being other guys. Spinel’s stars are located next to the outer corners of her eyes, where the “tears/eyelashes” would be in the movie. Another star is located in the shape of Spinel’s outfit, ranging from a skirt, poncho, capes, shawls, and other outfits I really don’t know the name of.
Going for a closer similarity to present!Spinel over past!Spinel, because either way she would be left in the garden or not, Spinel would change and acknowledge the darker side of life. With that, she grows a bit more.
As for the inspirations:
Jester- No explanation needed.
Musketeer- If Pearl went from PD’s servant to being Rose’s knight, Spinel going from PD’s entertainer to a musketeer for Rose would be a nice motif to follow.
Bard- Spinel seems to enjoy her purpose of being an entertainer, so there is a chance she wouldn’t roam too far from being that while at the same time being a rebel. So it’d also be fitting for her to be a bard, a traveling entertainer with way fewer boundaries. That, and in my experience with DnD, bards slay hard.
Peter Pan- Seems like a good comparison to Spinel. Fun loving, a child at heart, loves having friends around, and her antics would definitely keep the other gems smiling and bring out the child in them too (and keep them from growing up too much, emotionally speaking). Plus, if Spinel were to join the rebellion, the Diamonds (technically not counting Pink) would be the pirates to Spinel’s Pan. With the exception of Spinel not being the leader of the Crystal Gems, the parallelism still exists.

She has a crush on every form of Spinel
If all spinel’s got repurposed in Rook’s au then why doesn’t Spinel also need to learn how to be fun? Or am I missing something and Spinel is CG-Spinel?
Not "all" of the spinels did. Only the ones that didnt have higher ranking jobs or serve elite gems, got re-purposed.
Spinel in this universe is part of the Crystal Gems.
Steven found out the truth about his mother WAY sooner in this one. He learned about the garden from Pearl and found Spinel waiting there.
Spinel didnt take the news too well about Pink, poofed, reformed and attacked steven, all within the garden. Steven was able to get through to her more easily here than in the movie.
Of course their fighting knocked some things over, blah blah blah, Spinel saves Steven from falling rubble and gets poofed. Steven takes her gem back to Earth. And Spinel reforms as a new member of the Crystal Gems.
Spinel in this AU is, for the most part, the same as she was with Pink. A fun-loving little gem that loves to make others happy. She has moments where her hurt side will shine through when she gets frustrated or angry. But for the most part, she acts like a little sister to Steven.
