Excitedly you entered your shared home with a large new plush in your arms. It was nearly as big as you, and soft as could be as well. Volt was close behind, closing and locking the door once you made your way inside.
Eddie rounded the corner at the sound of the door. He could barely see you from behind the head of the plush, but he could feel your smile from where he stood. With a long glance at the size of the plush and quick math on where it could possibly fit, he looked at Volt with exasperation.
“They thought it was pretty.” Volt stated simply, hand coming to rest on your lower back.
“Pretty big, yeah.” Eddie sighed.
“Bad?” You mumbled, peeking your head out from over the plush to see Eddie’s face.
Eddie softened instantly at the sight of your beautiful eyes. “No baby, not bad. And you’re right, your new friend is pretty. Why don’t you go find a spot for it in our room?”
Your face brightened, quickly attempting to run past Eddie to your room.
“Hey,” Eddie called after you, causing you to turn. “No kiss?”
With warmth in your cheeks you bridged the gap between the two of you. He leaned in, placing a sweet kiss on your forehead and then your nose, smiling when he pecked your lips. Satisfied, he nodded to your room and you took off again.
Once you were far enough away, Eddie turned to look at Volt. “You’re spoiling them.”
Volt shook his head, fond smile on his face. “Do you have any idea how hard it is to say no to them?”
“Yes, I do.” Eddie’s eyes narrowed. “But did they even ask this time, or did you just see them looking at it again?”
Volt’s eyes flickered between the direction you went off in and then back to Eddie, and only spoke after a pause. “I should help them find room for their.. New friend.”
Eddie rolled his eyes as Volt passed him, though there was no real annoyance in it.
