Finally posting some kind of reference for my self insert... and a late 90s William. These were a bit hastily done, please excuse any mistakes >_<
bonus: the first time they really talk to each other after Tempe starts working at Freddy's
William, at this point in his life, is even more irritable than he used to be. But he can't help himself wherever his ego is involved... A person that's still interested in his work? After all these years? As annoying as this employee might be, he's kind of entertained by their curiosity and love of his animatronics.
Tempe is pretty down on their luck after dropping out... but they landed their "dream job" at the local, run-down Freddy Fazbear's. They've always been a fan of the animatronics, but to say they find their boss intimidating would be an understatement. Even so, they're not going to give up an opportunity to learn from the person that inspired their love of animatronics and robotics...
more on these two later :p
being a stoic businessman is so hard when theres a sweet little beast following you around all the time
rambling about them under the read moreee :p
[Ignore that I cut out some of the lyrics, I didn't have great ideas for them so I just... Removed Them. I hope it's still enjoyable!]
I threw this together so I could stop being haunted by the ghost of an animatic I am not yet talented enough to make.
Also yes, that is Tempe with the long(er) hair! That's what they look like when they're older >_o We'll get there eventually...

Pt.1 > Musing on Tempe/William :p
[next >]
(i accidentally wrote a small one-shot, i think. Read till the end for some slightly more straightforward thoughts about Tempe... hehe)
In the 90s, when Temperance and William first meet, William is at a weird place in his life. By now, he's lost every loved one he's ever had, save for his eldest son, whom he despises. His public reputation is cluttered; the nicest thing anyone has to say about him is that they feel sorry for him. However, most people just find him intimidating and unpleasant.
After years of loss and spiraling, William doesn't have the patience to keep up his charades. His pizzeria receives mediocre business, mostly from morbid teens and checked-out parents that don't feel like paying attention to their kids. No amount of false niceties will bring in the kind of business he had in the 80s, not after what happened; not after what he did.
(obligatory read more :p)
They're still getting used to each other, but William doesn't have the tact to avoid awkward questions. Thankfully for Tempe, their scary boss comes to the conclusion that he doesn't care about these kinds of things. He has more important stuff to worry about, he thinks.
Does William think it's kind of weird? Yeah, sure. Who cares.
