So in the translation I'm reading, Chapters 569 and 764 are both called "White Monster". Are they the same title in Japanese?

no, they’re different titles in japanese- 569 is 白い怪物/shiroi kaibutsu while 764 is ホワイトモンスター/howaito monsutaa- but they both mean the same thing, it’s just that one is the actual japanese words for ‘white monster’ while the other is the japanicized version of the same phrase in english.

In his prime Whitebeard probably could have easily been able to save Ace, but his body just can’t handle it anymore.

It seems like Ace isn’t the only one on Whitebeard’s crew that doesn’t fully understand him, and some of these guys must have traveled with him for probably decades at this point.  But they’re all so intent on defending Whitebeard’s ‘honor’ when the only thing he truly cares about is making sure all of his family survives the war, no matter what happens to him in the process.
