Brook refers to the Strawhats as his 親愛なる仲間達/shin’ai naru nakama-tachi. 親愛/shin’ai is a really sweet word to use here- it means ‘deep affection/love,’ and in its specific use here with the word naru, is basically like “My dearly beloved crewmates.”
Nice little detail; Usopp really did think up a signature way back in chapter 600, based on his own profile
When they reunite Sanji insults Zoro by calling him a 迷子/maigo which literally means ‘stray/lost child’ lmfao
Post-timeskip, when Franky is ‘talking like a robot,’ it’s spelled out in all katakana instead of being written in kanji and hiragana like usual dialogue- so for example here he says イジョウオシテクダサイ/ijouoshitekudasai instead of 以上押して下さい/ijou oshite kudasai. It gives it the impression of being spoken... kinda monotone and artificial, I suppose?
It’s also. Extremely annoying to read. Which is presumably why he just uses it to restate/rephrase things he’s already said, which makes it much easier to decipher which words are intended.
wait hold up us bro wearing a fuzzy hat, or is his hair in the shape of a hat
