“I know you well enough,” Loki replied gently, his gaze taking in the sight of Fletcher before he moved to rest his hand against his. He had panicked ever so slightly when he couldn’t find the other, though he knew where to look. Finding him by the beach, he had been careful in his approach, not wanting to startle him. “Do you want to talk about what’s on your mind?” he asked, “we can go some place warmer if you like? Your hand’s cold.”

The Tribute Center is colder than Julius remembers. Outside he knows it’s the middle of summer, sun beating down on the abstract concrete shapes that make up most Capitol buildings, turning every inch of metal untouchable. The Capitol citizens are not to suffer, of course, so every building comes equipped with a system that can heat or cool any room to the desired temperature with just a click of a button. Whoever runs the system at the Tribute Center must be a big fan of the winter.

Loki was defensive when it came to Fletcher. He cared deeply for his partner and wasn't about to let anyone say anything cruel about him, or towards him. And so, when he heard someone make a passing comment about him, he was quick to react. His fist grabbed the other by the neck of their shirt, pulling them back and slamming them against the wall. "You care you say that again? Or would you like to apologise to my partner?"

Loki’s arms instinctively wrapped themselves around Fletcher’s waist as he went down, being careful with him as he moved to rest them both on the couch. One hand moved from his back, coming up to gently brush over the boys cheek and forehead. “You need to rest Fletcher,” he whispered, “you’ve been pushing yourself far too much. Let’s get you somewhere a little more comfortable?”

Charlotte: I feel like doing something stupid. Bryce : I’m stupid, do me.

Fletcher: My favorite thing about big dogs is that when you push them over, they're all like "Oh, I'm lying down now! Someone might scratch my stomach! I might nap! Endless possibilities!" Zachary: ...whereas, when you push little dogs over, they're all like, "Vengeance! Death before dishonor!"

Kit: There are 20 letters in the alphabet, right? Harrison: Nope, there's 26. Kit: Ah, I must have forgotten U, R, A, Q, T. Harrison: Aww, that's cute, but you're still missing one. Kit: You'll get the D later ;).
