Jackson smiled softly as he stood over the crib and looked at his son. He really was so small. And Jackson couldn’t believe he had made something so perfect. So tiny.

He reached down and lightly stroked his sons head.

“You are so beautiful.” he whispered, as his fingers brushed the little boys head. He then pulled up the blanket over him and just stood there, watching him drift off to sleep.

Actually at that point, I think people would still have questioned it, because Scott was already shown to have been completely self-absorbed that summer. He stopped giving a fuck as soon as Allison left, except for when it came to making himself better to get her back. Otherwise he would have been helping Derek with the search for Boyd and Erica to make amends for the crap he put Derek through. Which he never apologized for. Also, Stiles is the entire reason Scott had an anchor.

I mean you do have a point, but since we never saw the training happen and it was just mentioned by Lydia at the very beginning of S3a, I doubt many people would’ve questioned it and it would’ve been an easy way for TW to hint at how awesome of a leader Scott is, which is totally their thing ever since S3. So it’s just amusing to me that they didn’t use that opportunity. But hey, some of them have to have common sense!

Derek DID train Jackson, actually. Lydia tells Allison about it in the brief scene he's mentioned in, where they explained where he went in 3A? She says Derek gave him the werewolf 101 about how not to kill people on the full moon, and cracks a really un-Lydia-like joke about An American Werewolf in London.

ooh right! Forgot about that little scene! It’s actually funny how Derek did that and not Scott.They could’ve easily changed that line to say ‘Scott’ and I bet no one would’ve questioned it since Scott did have his own experience with finding an anchor and such by then, and it would’ve been in character for him to want that Jackson is no further threat for other people. But even TW is realistic when it comes to that!

Agreed. Like there was the whole thing with Isaac ‘changing loyalities’ or whatever, but thing is, Scott wasn’t a proper alpha then and so Scott was just the next best thing. But it’s obvious that they never were an actual pack, cause Scott didn’t give two fucks about him in the end. No one did.

And while I still get the idea when it comes to Isaac, I have no idea how anyone could ever say that Jackson could in any way ‘return to Scott’ ? Like. They weren’t even friends, much less pack. Scott didn’t even save Jackson in the end, it were peter and derek (even though it probably wasn’t their plan and just luck)

God what would I give for a fanfic about how Derek, Isaac and Jackson reunite in Europe and have a fab time, healing their wounds and just being bfs or you know.. whatever they need in each other ;)

You can tell that whiny anon that Jackson being a Hale is actually a really popular theory. The similarities between Jackson's parents dying in a car crash and Malia's mom and sister doing the same just emphasise that she's got a recycled story (1)

(2) because Jeff was unable to use it for Jackson. And we wouldn't even HAVE Malia if things had gone the way Jeff originally planned them to, because Erica would have had Cora's role and Cora would have had taken Malia's). She is literally nothing

(3) but the cobbled together remains of other characters' storylines. It's why she makes no fucking sense.

There were so many good theories showing how it’s more than likely that Erica became Cora became Malia and how Jackson was supposed to be connected to the Hales/Peter.

And just because Jeff lies once again doesn’t mean anything either.
