SxF Ch. 92 spoiler
I'm curious.
Since the beginning of the Mole Hunt Arc, there has been a common question asked in Yor's direction.
First, the girls at work ask her how she and her husband are. Of course this flusters her because 1) she's drunk and 2) she desperately doesn't want to blow their cover.
And the ensuring hilarity is just icing on the cake. Poor Yor 😂😭
Then in Ch. 89, Yuri point blank asks Yor if she loves her husband and she can't say a proper answer to it.
Again, it's that tight rope to walk. On one side: what does Yor really feel? On the other: what answer is best to keep Yuri off her back? It's really sad that there are moments where she can't be genuine with her brother, and that's mostly his fault considering how intense he is about his sister (unless it's related to her assassin job of course).
And then there's ch. 92.
I highly doubt Barbara has some kind of hidden agenda in asking this (though anything is possible). I've had this question asked to me in my first year of marriage and it can be kinda embarrassing especially if taken by surprise and you aren't really sure how to put into words just what you love about your spouse.
But Yor certainly has thought things about Loid. Things that she does like about him.
She knows some things about Loid are true: he understands what she's had to do in order to raise Yuri and accepted that about her (even if he doesn't know exactly what she is) and he's adorable when he is invested with Anya's interests. She also genuinely believes Loid is a good father just doing his best.
And as a result, Yor does her best to help where she can - where he'll let her - and wants him to be happy, even if it means losing her happiness in the same breath.
I don't think Yor is one to deny her true feelings for someone. She's not emotionally stunted, even if she struggles with the social cues her coworkers keep giving her. But putting those feelings into words can be extremely difficult, especially if you are worried about how saying it could come across or just nervous because it's about someone you admire.
While I'm not entirely sure if Yor is romantically in love with her husband, she certainly admires him. If that feeling is deeper than I think, fantastic! I'm just cautious because I have pretty thick shipping glasses when it comes to these two. 😂
I'm wondering if these moments of asking are foreshadowing and am curious to see where Endo will take us with this!
