Since Noland’s execution takes place back in Lvneel Kingdom, these wounds are likely not the same as the ones the king gave him back on Jaya. Which is...yeah. 

And it’s interesting how similar in many ways Noland’s death is to Gold Roger’s. They’re both public figures who accomplished impossible things while on grand adventures, but where Roger was able to inspire an entire generation of pirates to follow in his footsteps, Noland is reduced to a children’s morality story against lying.
