Sol despised the holidays. The extravagance of it all always irritated her. People who wouldn't normally say more than six or seven words to each other during the year came together to put on airs. As dark eyes moved around the room she did not recognize more than a handful of faces from her wedding to the hostess. Speaking of her beautiful wife, trying to get even a few minutes alone with her was like pulling teeth. It seemed that full-grown adults needed help with everything or likely just wanted to complain about something. Which was why she was in her current predicament.
The woman was experiencing what felt like the single worst case of blue balls she'd ever had. In the 3 weeks leading up to this holiday Extravaganza, the lack of attention had started to get to her. They had been to every big bookstore, and every niche boutique, and shop in three separate malls. As well as collecting a ridiculous amount of packages from FedEx and UPS all to make this wonderful winter wonderland that all of these in grades were enjoying. Meanwhile, she hadn't been able to breathe in the presence of her wife let alone fuck her. And the mount frustration was beginning to be almost impossible to hide. Sol stood off in the corner swirling the contents of her champagne glass her eyes not for the first time straight to Zin. She was a former lover and the daughter of her current bride. A young vivacious, beauty that had kept her attention longer than most. Turning away she crossed the room and stood slightly behind her wife whispering gently in her ear that she would be stepping out for a bit. The lie of work coming up fell easily from her lips.
“Finally.” She sighed as she moved into the hallway and headed toward her office. Pulling out her phone she sent a quick text message to Zin.
‘You could have warned me how awful this was going to be. There are people who I’ve never even heard of out there.’
