Trager had been growing on me soooooo much lately (went from mid to one of my favs 😭) and my main thing with his is just.. why tf wouid you do that 😭

referring to the two pages above from the comics… why the absolute FUCK would Trager decide the best way to solve his problems would be to add a murder charge on TOP of his drink spiking and rape charge? I get wanting to cover his ass and not labeled as a rapist and get fired and all that shit, but seriously, what was his plan? Looking at the page before, I think it’d Jeremy Blaire who they are meeting with to discuss this, who is kinda a good friend of Trager. Blaire is described as Waylon’s “supervisor’s supervisor”, which would potentially land him as Trager’s supervisor as well, so it might’ve just been up to his own friend to kinda deal with all this. Truth be told, Jeremy’s not too great of a guy either… so I feel like if he wanted, he could’ve gotten the secretary (I think it was) to back off from pressing charges by threatening her and whatnot would only leave Pauline getting roofied, which he probably wouldn’t get too big of a sentence for. I feel like that’s reasonable enough to say?
Even say that’s not the case and all those charges get brought against him, he’d have to murder and cover up 3 people, saying if Jeremy decided to help. We kinda see that Jeremy isn’t intervening when Trager goes to attack the secretary, so imo the only reason Jeremy actually put Trager in the engine and all was “well shit. He got scalped, I can’t just kill or shut these three up… two of them been stabbed… I can’t cover this up.” I mean duh, it’s all Pauline’s fault for fucking him up, if the secretary decided to just go to Jeremy for this instead I can promise it would’ve been pushed under the rug.
The only reason I assume Trager actually decided to stab them was because he thought Jeremy would back him up (and he didn’t see the shredder ;-;).
entire thing is even more stupid when we consider he had no reason to drug Pauline to begin with. She was into him, she came back to his house with him, even if she was particularly just investigating, she probably would’ve fucked him too 😭. And the only excuse this man has when having a gun pointed at him was “I needed a win” ?!?! He was probably getting a win to begin with- he just fucked himself up. I mean hey, I can get into a spiel about rapists and motives in that sense, but if we’re straight out saying the only reason he wanted to drug her was he wanted to bang???? How STUPID does he have to be?? Come on. (I’d say more realistically for him he didn’t like seeing a female in a position of power like that and wanted to take her down a bit since he’s probably misogynistic too. That seems more of why he wanted to do that… but in the other hand, istg that’d probably about the last person you’d wanna rape?? He has no right to threaten her and just look at her?? She would NOT keep her mouth shut… AND she would definitely press charges against him. So stupid on his part x10000)
anyway. All I’m trying to say is it’s all really stupid and Trager is really stupid…. Idk how he got so high while being so STUPID! You’re not taking down 3 people with a pair of scissors my man 😭 (lowk, Blaire probably would’ve helped him cover all their murders up if he somehow succeeded tho. Or idk if he thought Blaire would just join in and help him ?? In general; stupid man.)
