PART FOUR
Chaerin was beyond surprised when she saw Kris Wu under the mask. She never expected anyone from her school to be at her party aside from her friends and now the school’s most popular cold guy is at her party?!
Oh my god. Chaerin’s eyes widened as the realization dawned on her. “You know my secret now.” She said outloud unknowingly.
Kris raised his eyebrow at her as the people around them mingled and talked and danced after the reveal of the masks. Kris could see that Chaerin was trembling slightly and that her eyes looked unsettled. Interesting.
“Hello Ms. Baddest Female CL.” He smirked at her. Before he knew it, Chaerin ran away from him and hid. She just wanted to be away from him and sort out this whole mess. Kris watched Chaerin run away from him and he tilted his head to the side. “What did I do?” he wondered out loud. He shook his head and made a move to leave the dance floor when his eyes saw something glittering on the floor. Raising his eyebrow, he bent down and picked up a silver mask.
“Hm.”
===Sunday (day after the party)===
Chaerin was in her room and she was nervous for tomorrow. She thought about missing school. She thought about transferring until she remembered the promise she made with her father just to appease her mother and she frowned. “Aish! What am I going to do now?!” she said to herself. She paced in her room, she laid on her bed, she puffed her cheeks and made weird noises, she played with a tennis ball, and she tried to dance. All just to distract her.
At the end of the day, before going to bed, Chaerin sat in front of her vanity. She has just finished dyeing her hair back to blonde although it was hard. She was pretty sure that her hair was damaged now but she couldn’t care less. Washing off the temporary black dye she applied another coat of light blonde to her hair and waited.
“Okay Chaerin,” she said to herself while looking at the mirror. “Tomorrow is going to be the same. No one will know who you really are. Kris Wu doesn’t seem like the one who would spread anything.”
But then again, he’s friends with Chanyeol the big mouth.
She whined. “Why must he be at my party?! I didn’t even invite him!” Chaerin laid her head on her arms and breathed in and out. She looked at herself in the mirror again and continued her peptalk with herself.
“No matter. If worse comes to worse, just deny deny and deny.” She nodded to herself and checked her watch. Seeing that her hair was probably done already, she got up and went to her bathroom to wash off the dye.
Tomorrow would be another day.
Kris lay in his bed at night just staring at the mask in his hands. He turned it over and examined it. He even tried it on to amuse himself.
His thoughts were on the party that happened last night. He was curious about CL. Why did she hide her true self from school? Why didn’t she go to a much nicer private school like Jeguk High? Granted he could’ve done the same but he had his reasons. What were CL’s reasons?
He placed the mask on his nightstand and stared at it as he laid on his side. “Tomorrow.” He said outloud. “We’ll see tomorrow.”
“Holy shit why am I so nervous?” CL was not Chaerin anymore once she stepped foot in the school. She decided to just have her driver drop her off a few blocks from school since she didn’t want to use her motorcycle and she didn’t want to attract attention to herself. She was still standing by the school gates when three other heads popped up next to her.
“Hey CL!” Minzy greeted, shocking the life out of their leader.
“Holy shit maknae! Don’t do that. God.” CL breathed as she put her hand to her heart and tried to calm down. “Anyway, let’s go in now. We’ll be late.” CL walked ahead to the school, leaving behind three curious girls.
“Late? Since when did CL care about being early?” Bom asked. The other two girls shrugged but followed their leader.
CL was nervous and tense as she walked the halls towards her locker. Her hearing was heightened, trying to hear telltale words such as ‘Chaerin’ and ‘Heiress’. She got to her locker with no event and she breathed a sigh of relief. Looks like know one knows. Thank God.
She opened and her locker to get her books. She stuffed everything that she would need for her classes in her bag and shut the locker. What she didn’t expect was for Kris Wu to be standing behind her locker door, gaining the eyes of every student in the hall.
“What the fuck?!” CL exclaimed as Kris stood next to her casually. CL took a tentative step backwards, getting ready to flee, when she remembered that she was in school right now and she needed to be CL and not Chaerin. “What are you doing here, Wu?” She tried to say strongly but a hint of a tremble was still evident.
Kris was looking straight ahead and when CL asked him what he was doing there, he turned his head slightly to her and smirked. “Hello Baddest Female.”
CL gulped and glanced around discreetly. She noticed that all eyes were on the two of them and she had to make a move. Fast.
“Meet me at the back of the school by the huge apple tree during lunch. We’ll talk there.” She said to him quickly and quietly so no one else would hear. She glared at him and left him there as she walked to her class, glaring at everything in her path. Dara, Bom, and Minzy saw everything and they were also curious as to what transpired between the two.
Kris just smirked at CL’s retreating figure. He pushed himself off of the lockers and walked in the same direction CL went. With his hands in his pockets, he headed to class in a happy mood.
All morning during her classes, CL was tense and out of it. She kept tapping her finger nails on her notebook as she watched the clock tick by. Next period was lunch and she was nervous for their meeting. Should I go? If I don’t go then he might tell the whole school. It seems that they still don’t know.
Aish! KRIS WU!
The lunch time bell rang and the students stood up. CL was still in her seat, blankly staring at the clock when she heard her phone ring, breaking her out of her trance. She looked at the caller I.D. and saw that it was from her father. Looking around to see if anyone was still in the room, she answered her phone. “Hello? Dad?” she stood up and slung her bag over her shoulder.
“Chaerin-ah!” CL winced at the name. “How’s school?”
CL walked out of the classroom. “ It’s alright. Class just ended.” She checked the halls and noticed that it was not as crowded as she expected. “What made you call, Dad?”
“Ah! Yes.” Her father said. “I called to inform you about a dinner later tonight. Your mom and I just sealed the deal with a new business partner and we’re having dinner with them to commemorate this new partnership.”
CL sighed. “Do I have to go?”
“Why yes of course. You’re our daughter so you have to go. Even Seunghyun is coming.” CL groaned. She hated these things. “Do I have to dye my hair again?”
“Well.. Yes. That would be best since it’s more proper.”
“But Dad, it’ll take a while to my hair.”
“Well you’ll just have to leave school early.” Her dad said. “This dinner is important to your mother so please come, Chaerin.”
CL sighed again. When it comes to her father, she can’t exactly say ‘no’ since he’s the only parent she could trust. Her mother was the complete opposite of her dad and she wonders how the two of them got married. “Okay, okay. I’ll leave school early. After lunch, I’ll leave.” This way I could really avoid that Angry-bird look-a-like.
“Great! Tell the girls I said ‘hi’ alright? Love you Chaerin!” She rolled her eyes at her father but she smiled a bit. “Love you too Dad.” She put her phone back in her pocket when the call ended and she entered the cafeteria. She saw her friends waiting for her at the table and headed towards there. As she walked towards her table, she noticed that Kris Wu wasn’t in his seat with his friends and she gulped.
“Hey guys um, I’ll have to leave early today.” She says to them.
Dara looked up from her cup ramen and stared at CL. “Why though?”
“My dad called,” CL started. “He says I have to leave school early to prepare for a dinner with a brand new partner later.” CL laid her head on the table.
“Aww It’s alright C. We understand.” Bom said.
“Oh yeah, and Dad says hi.” CL added. “Thanks guys. I have to get going now.” She stood up and nodded at the girls before heading to the exit. But unlike what the girls were thinking, CL took a detour to the giant apple tree at the back of the school.
No one really goes there since it was spread around the school that that place was CL’s group’s hang-out. No one dared to go near it for fear of facing their wrath. Arriving at the appler tree, CL could make out Kris’ silhouette standing next to the tree.
“Alright. Let’s talk.” CL said. She moved behind the tree, hiding from any person who might be wandering here. “What were you doing at my party last Saturday?”
Kris raised his eyebrow at her. “Why are you keeping being a rich a secret?” he shot back.
CL was mad now. “That’s not the point, okay? The point is I didn’t even invite you yet you show up there.”
“You might have not invited me.” He leaned closer to CL and she took a step back, her back hitting the trunk of the tree. “But your parents did.” He whispered.
“My… My parents?” she said confusedly. “Why would my parents invite a lowlife like you? Wait..” CL’s eyes rounded. “Don’t tell me you’re rich too.”
“That I am.” He answered. “The name’s Wu Yi Fan. Heir to the EXO group of companies.”
CL felt like fainting right then and there. She wanted to hit herself. She wanted to slap herself for not realizing the Kris Wu was actually Wu Yi Fan, an heir to the EXO group of companies. But in her defense, she has never seen a photo of him so how would she know?
“Then why are you in this school?” She asked him. “You could’ve gone to Jeguk High. Why here in this dump?”
“The same could be said about you and your friends.” He shot back. CL wasn’t used to Kris talking so much like this. She’s used to him just being silent, not knowing anything about him before this whole mess started. “I have my reasons.” She says.
“And I have mine.” He smirked at her.
“Ugh! You’re so infuriating!” She yelled.
“Well you’re no fresh breeze either.” It was silent between them now. CL was thinking a thousand things at once like what were his reasons for being here. Why didn’t he tell anyone about her. Why did he want to keep it a secret. Those questions plagued her mind until she voiced out one of them. “Why didn’t you tell anyone about me?”
Kris had his poker face on. “How are you sure that I haven’t told anyone yet?”
“Oh please. If you told anyone, everyone in school would’ve known by now.” She rolled her eyes. “Spare me the bullshit please.”
“You’ve got a foul mouth, huh. Not very lady-like Miss Lee.” He teased.
“Fuck you Kris Wu.” She muttered.
“To answer you question, I kept it a secret because,” he leaned towards her again, this time, eventually trapping her between him and the apple tree. “You piqued my interest.” He smirked.
“What does that have to do with keeping it a secret?” CL felt uncomfortable under his intense gaze.
“If I told anyone about you, then you’d be everyone’s secret.” He says. “And I don’t like sharing what’s mine.”

PART THREE
It was D-Day already. The D-Day CL hated. The day she dreaded. And the day where everything will change for her. It was her eighteenth birthday.
There was a secret that CL kept from everyone at her school. A secret that only her closest friends knew. There was a reason why she went to one of Seoul’s worst public schools when she supposedly came from France. There was a reason why CL and her friends spread rumors about their group that they belonged to gangs, that they killed people, that they beat people up, that they are not be messed with. There was a reason for everything. And that reason was going to be revealed today, at six P.M. at one of the best hotels in all of Korea.
The Hotel Zeus was owned by well-known bachelor Choi Young Do. After his father died, he immediately took over as the CEO and still remains a close friendship with Jeguk Group’s CEO’s brother, Kim Tan.
Living the double life isn’t easy for CL. Always having to pretend that she’s not rich, that she’s piss-poor and that she gets her money by dealing with drugs was hard. From toddler until she graduated from middle school, CL was raised as Lee Chaerin, heiress to the GZB Group of companies. But of course, the title of CEO would go to her older brother, Lee Seunghyun, popularly knowns as Lee Seungri, playboy extraordinaire.
No one in her school knew that CL was an heiress. And she wants it to remain that way. In school, CL would never wear make-up and her hair was blonde. But last night, after coming home from her trip with her friends, she had her hair dyed back to black and she wore her eyeliner and red lipstick, her signature look for these kinds of gatherings. It was hard, of course, dyeing her hair blonde to black everytime there was an event that she was required to go to, and her school uniform was just a cheap quality. Even her shoes were just a cheap imitation converse. Her way of dressing up totally differs from when she got to highschool.
Today she was not CL the baddest female.
She was Lee Chaerin, heiress of her family’s company.
Chaerin was in her hotel room upstairs waiting for the time to go down to the party. The stylists and the make-up artists were already downstairs at the party, a feat provided by Chaerin’s parents as a reward for making their daughter even more beautiful. She was wearing a deep red Gucci dress (A/N: Just imagine the dress in red) that exposed her back but kept her front modestly covered, just showing a tiny amount of cleavage. The dress had a slit that went up to mid thigh on her right leg and it had silver beads adorning the straps and edges of the top part of her dress. Her heels were silver as well as her purse and shawl. Her mask was a simple silver mask that only covered the top part of her face. Wearing minimal jewelry, Chaerin took one last look at herself in the vanity and took a deep breath. She walked out of her room and went to the elevators after checking the time; she only had five more minutes until her grand entrance.
Her parents and brother were already downstairs, greeting the guests and entertaining them. She was to arrive when the doors closed to that her entrance would really be grand, her parents’ words not hers. If Chaerin had her way, she wouldn’t even have this party in the first place.
She stepped inside the elevator and pressed the button for the floor where the party was going to be held. She took one last deep breath before the elevator doors closed and made its descent.
“I’m bored,” Chanyeol suddenly said. He and his parents arrived twenty minutes ago, followed by Kris, Luhan, and their respective families. He wore a black suit with a black bow tie around his neck. Luhan wore a necktie as well as Kris, going for a classical look. Chanyeol wanted something different so he chose the bowtie. Their masks were identical, all black and only covering the top part of their faces. They were not allowed to take off their masks until it was time to go home. “Then go ask a lady to dance with you.” Luhan answered him. He, too, was bored.
“Fine.” Chanyeol consented, “Lulu will you dance with me?” He had this cheesy grin on his face and Luhan made a move to hit him. “Ya!”
It was fortunate that Chanyeol, Luhan, Kris, and their families were seated on one table. Right now it was only the three of them at the table seeing as their parents were busy mingling and creating business connections with the guests present. Kris sat between the two arguing boys, just letting his eyes sweep the surroundings.
“Seriously though, I’m hungry. When are we going to eat?”
“We have to wait for the Lee’s daughter to arrive, Yeol.” Luhan answered him. “But you’re right. I’m hungry too.”
Kris as usual kept silent and just observed the people present. Pretentions people, he thought. Every one of them is the same. All coming to parties like these to create business deals and partnerships. I pity the children involved in arranged marriages.
His eyes traveled to table and his eyes sparkled with curiosity. My, my, aren’t those—
“Hey, aren’t those the girls that CL hangs out with?” Chanyeol pointed out what Kris was thinking. The three girls had their masks off and were talking amongst each other. “What are they doing here?” Luhan turned to look where Chanyeol was pointing at and his eyes widened in surprise. “I didn’t know they were rich.” He said.
“Neither did I…” Kris mindlessly answered.
“But what are they doing here without CL?” Chanyeol wondered. “Isn’t she their leader or something?”
“I don’t know.” Luhan answered. “But isn’t it interesting that the school’s fiercest girls are actually part of High Society?”
“High Society.” Both Luhan and Chanyeol said in a fake British accent before bursting out in laughter. “Oh god, that never gets old.” Luhan pretended to wipe a tear under his eye.
Having the urge to use the bathroom, Kris stood up with a mumbled, “I’ll go to the restroom for a bit” to the two boys. He maneuvered his way around the dancing couples and left towards the driection of the bathroom.
The elevator doors opened and Chaerin stepped out. “Ms. Lee?” She turned her head and saw a man dressed in a doorman’s uniform. “This way please.” There was no doubt that it was Chaerin considering she was the only one who wore red to a black and white party. Again, this was her mother’s idea seeing as she wanted her daughter to have all the attention in the room. She nodded her head and followed the doorman towards two large double doors with intricate gold and green designs. She stood up straighter and righted her posture. The doorman said something in his radio and then she saw him nod to the two guys who were guarding the double doors. The doors opened and Chaerin stepped inside.
“Mr. and Mrs. Lee, I was just informed that Ms. Lee is already at the double doors.” One of the hotel’s employees said to the couple.
Im Yoona clapped her hands in delight. “That’s wonderful!” She made a move towards the microphone on the stage with the help of her husband. “Attention.” She said in her trilling voice. “On this day, our daughter Lee Chaerin was born. Now on her debut as a woman, we now present you our daughter as she makes her way inside.” Everyone clapped their hands and that was the signal to have the doors opened. Stepping inside, the people were in awe at the lady in the red dress. The women Chaerin’s age were eyeing her with jealousy as they eyed her dress and her chosen accessories.
As she walked along the ballroom, Chaerin felt small. This was her true self. A little girl who pretends to be a big shot in school when in reality, she can’t even stand up to her parents again. She did it once and now that she’s eighteen, it’s only a matter of months until she’s sent to America to study business like what they did to her brother.
In this world, Chaerin had no power. Her parents are the ones that hold power over her and she knows that she can’t do anything but do their bidding. She was lucky that they allowed her to study at one of the worst schools in Seoul with the compromise of having a private tutor teach her everything at home. She gets to play what she wished she was in school but in her world, she’s nothing but a prey to the eyes of the predators.
Standing beside her parents at the stage, she was glad for the mask that covered half her face. No one would know her true emotions. She just plastered on a fake smile as everyone clapped their hands. But Chaerin knew the truth. These people were not genuine; with the exception of her friends. She eyed the table where Dara, Bom, and Minzy were seated and sent a true and genuine smile in their direction.
“Dude, you missed the entrance of the Lee’s daughter.” Luhan said as Kris walked back to his seat. It was time for the food to be served. Everyone was seated, meaning that the three boys’ parents were seated with them.
Kris only grunted in response to Luhan’s question as he took his seat next to the boy. “She’s the on in red up there.” Luhan pointed with his chin to the stage where a table was set and the four members of the Lee family along with Chaerin and Seungri’s grandparents and aunts and uncles were present. Chaerin sat next to her brother and her cousin, Kwon Jiyong, as the waiters served them their meals.
Kris couldn’t see who she was clearly because of the mask so he just shrugged and proceeded to eat.
“Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for the first dance of the celebrant.” The MC said. She was a tall, statuesque woman in her early 30s who went by the name of Choi Sooyoung.
Chaerin stood up and was aided by her father, Lee Donghae, onto the dance floor. The music started and the father-daughter pair began to dance.
“How are you liking your party, sweetie?” He asked in a soft voice. He twirled her around and resumed their dancing.
“It’s alright.” She answered. “Just wish Mom let me wear a black or white dress instead of this red one.”
Donghae chuckled. “Well you know your Mom just wants what’s best for you. Just humor her.” He smiled at her and Chaerin felt at ease. At least she still has her father and brother on her side. Her mom was a total control freak.
They danced until the song ended and then it was Seungri’s turn. This time, other couples joined them on the dance floor too.
“Hey sis.” He grinned cheekily and Chaerin frowned. “Ugh. It’s you.”
“Hey, that’s not a nice way to treat your brother.” He mock pouted. “I’m angry at you now.”
Chaerin rolled her eyes. “And then I wonder who the older one between us is.” Seungri let out a laugh and twirled her. “So, I’m guessing Mom chose your dress?”
“You guessed correctly.” Chaerin sighed.
“Tough luck kid.” Chaerin hit him lightly and he laughed again.
“Kris, go ask Chaerin for a dance.” Kris’ mother pushed. His expression showed distaste at the thought. He didn’t want to dance with a snooty spoiled brat.
“Don’t give me that look. Come on. Just ask her.” She pushed again.
He sighed. “I will but later.” His mom seemed to accept his answer and left him alone after warning him, “I’ll be waiting Kris. This is a great opportunity for our family so don’t ruin it. And be polite.”
Kris sighed again as he watched his two friends dance with two women. “Bastards left me alone.” He mumbled.
Watching man after man dance with the girl in the red dress, Kris finally stood up lazily and made his way over to where Chaerin was dancing with someone. Taking a deep breath and praying to the heavens that she wouldn’t talk to him, he tapped the man’s shoulder and said, “May I cut in?”
The man stepped away and smiled at him. Kris assumed his position and held Chaerin’s hand and placed his left on the small of her back. They music then changed to a slower song and Kris was thankful. He didn’t have to put any effort in dancing now.
It was silent between the two for a few moments and Chaerin was thankful for it. But after another minute passed by without any word between the two of them, Chaerin decided to take the initiative first and spoke.
“Thanks for saving me back there.” She said to him. “He wouldn’t shut up about his car collection.”
Kris raised his eyebrow at her comment. Shouldn’t girls be impressed with expensive things?
“I’m Chaerin by the way.” She introduced. Kris was again surprised by her. He expected her to have an annoying voice and would talk about herself nonstop. Instead, she had a deep but husky voice that sounded sexy than annoying. Guess I’m wrong about her then. He decided to speak to her.
“I’m Kris.” He tilted his head as if bowing. It was quiet between them again and Chaerin broke it. Again. “You’re not much of a talker, aren’t you?”
Kris had to chuckle at her words. “Not really, no.”
Just then, the microphone sounded and Chaerin could hear the MC’s voice over the speakers again. “Ladies and gentlemen, it is 11:30pm already. Face your partners and slowly remove their masks to reveal yourselves to them. But your partner has to take off your mask for you. Have a great night everyone!”
Kris and Chaerin stopped dancing. Remembering his mother’s words about being polite, Kris asked for Chaerin’s permission. “May I?” He said in his deep voice. Chaerin nodded and Kris bent his body a little. Untying the ribbon that held the mask to her face, he pulled the object away and placed it on Chaerin’s hand. Then his eyes traveled to her face and he had to bite back his gasp. He wasn’t all that surprised since after seeing her friends, he had his conclusions.
It was Chaerin’s turn now. Kris bent his body even more and Chaerin stood up higher to reach the back of his head to untie the ribbon of his mask. Removing his mask, she placed the object in his hands. Only this time, she was more than surprised to find out whom she was dancing with.

PART TWO
“Class dismissed.” The teacher announced and students gathered up their belongings and went out of the classroom. It was the last period of the day and everyone was excited to go home. But not CL. She hated coming home.
She sighed and lugged behind everyone, keeping a distance and ignoring everything. Meeting up with her friends by the school entrance, CL discreetly handed them some envelopes. “You guys have to come alright?” she whispered. “I don’t think I can be sane if you guys aren’t there.”
Smiling at their friend, the three girls pocketed the envelopes and nodded. “We’ll be there, C. Don’t worry about it.”
“Everything you need to know about it is inside that envelope.” CL informed them. “It’s going to be on Saturday.”
Nodding at them, the girls went their separate ways. Dara, Bom, and Minzy headed to Bom’s car parked a few blocks away from the school while CL went to the parking lot and got on her motorcycle. Swinging one leg over the machine, she wore her helmet and revved the engine of the bike. The sound attracted attention to her of course, yet she just ignored them. She was used to this. Speeding out of the parking lot, CL just barely missed Kris and his friends who were walking out of the school gates.
“Whoa! Watch it!” Chanyeol yelled. “Seriously, why does the school allow motorcycles on the grounds anyway?”
“Well this is one of the worst school in Seoul so yeah…” Luhan answered. The three boys walked to one of their hang-outs, a convenience store near the school, and ordered their usual snacks. Ramen. On this cold February day, a bowl of hot ramen sounded really good to them.
“So, you going to the party, Kris?” Luhan asked. He snapped his chopsticks in half and rubbed them together before slurping the hot noodles. “Well, I’m going.” Chanyeol answered. “My parents said I can’t miss this since it’s the eighteenth birthday of their daughter or something, I’m not sure.”
“Me too,” Luhan said with his mouth full, “I already have my suit and everything.” The two boys trained their eyes on Kris. He was just sitting down and eating his bowl of ramen slowly, not wanting to rush like what Luhan and Chanyeol were doing. “Yeah.” was all he said and they understood. Kris wasn’t really a man of many words. He’s more of a quiet type. The cold city guy type. The type who you would never confess to because he will break your heart.
“You know what’s the theme?” Chanyeol asked. Luhan shrugged and Kris was silent. “It’s a Masquerade,” he continued, “Do you guys even have your masks already?”
“I don’t. But I’m pretty sure my Mom already had it picked out.” Luhan picked up his bowl and sipped from the hot soup. “Ahh, that’s good ramen.” He stood up from his seat and grabbed his wallet. “I’m getting another one.”
“Get me one too!” Chanyeol added. “Anyway, you have a mask already Kris?”
He shrugged. “I’ll probably be like Luhan.” And Chanyeol nodded. Luhan came back a few minutes later with two bowls of hot cup ramen. “What’d I miss?”
“Nothing much.” Chanyeol pulled the bowl towards him and breathed in the fragrance of the noodles. “Thanks Han.” He broke the chopsticks and rubbed them together before taking his first bite of his second helping. “We were just talking about the Masquerade.”
“Ah.” Luhan said. “It’s this weekend right?”
“Yeah. Only got two more days before it.”
Kris finished his bowl and pushed it forward. He then reached inside his bag and pulled out a white envelope. “Hmm..”
***
Friday at the High School was similar to that of, “Freedom for two and a half days!” Every student had plans for the weekend be it the poorest or the richest. The whole day every student was on edge, just itching to get out of school for a weekend of partying or just relaxing at home. CL was busy doodling on her notebook that she didn’t notice that the bell rang. She remained on her seat with her legs outstretched, her body almost liding off of the chair and with an expression of boredom on her face. Finally taking notice of the dwindling number of students, she lazily packed up her things and slung her bag over her shoulder. She headed towards the cafeteria to meet up with her girls for lunch. Sitting down on their usual table, Dara, Bom, and Minzy looked up at CL.
“What took you so long?” Dara asked. Since CL didn’t notice that class already ended, she was the last to arrive. “We got your food already since it’s pizza day today.”
CL raised her eyebrow at the pizza in front of her. “This is pizza?” She picked it up, examined it, then put it down. “Cafeteria food always sucks.”
Bom shrugged. “What are you gonna do? You chose this.”
“Well why are you here too then?” CL said.
“Pfft. It’s because we’re your friends, silly.” Minzy waved off. “Anyway, we better start eating if we want to leave the school after lunch without disrupting any of our classes.”
“Oh yeah! That’s today, right?” Dara said. “I’m still missing a few things so can we go to the usual?”
“Alright.” CL agreed. “You three take Bom’s car then we’ll drop my bike at my house. After that let’s go to the usual.”
After their plans were nailed, the three girls ate quickly and discreetly left the school. Not wanting to attract attention to herself, CL didn’t turn her bike on until they were out of the school gates. The guard on duty was on his bathroom break and so the girls took this chance to sneak out.
Kris, Luhan, and Chanyeol sat at the other end of the cafeteria from where CL’s group was sitting at. Luhan and Chanyeol were busy playing and goofing around that they failed to notice the girls sneaking away from the cafeteria. Raising his eyebrow at the act, Kris wondered where they were going. His keen senses telling him that those girls were up to no good but he made no move to tell anyone. It wasn’t his business and he wasn’t involved so why involve himself?
