Hi everyone! Attention! This is a redesign of a canon first-generation MLP character. I just started reading the IDW comics again and thought it would be nice to work on their looks. BUT! This is for a friend's AU called Lunar Chaos. So, the canon Firefly remains exactly as you know her! This Firefly was created exclusively for the AU.
Within the Lunar Chaos AU, she is the grandmother of Spectral Blast, who, in turn, is the replacement for Rainbow Dash. Blast is my friend's character, but unfortunately, he is not on Tumblr, so I can't show any artwork with him until I draw something myself.

Cotton Candy is a batpony and the cherished daughter in her family. Her mother dreamed of a filly who would grow up to be a fine lady. However, reality turned out differently: Cotton Candy loved studying various insects and often brought them home, which drove her mother to hysterics. She also dreamed of becoming a racer and a member of the Thunderbolts (the Lunar Chaos analogue of the Wonderbolts), but her mother was against that too, demanding her daughter be a feminine mare. Cotton, however, wasn't prepared to comply.
In the end, she enrolled in the Thunderbolts academy anyway and changed her name to Firefly. Later, she earned her cutie mark due to her affinity for lightning and a certain ability to glow in the dark.
Unlike her mother, Firefly deeply loves her children and grandchildren, wishing only the best for them. She supports their every whim and hobby, can talk to them about any topic, and is always there to offer advice.
