As far as she was concerned, it was far too hot to be legal. Of course, weather never did abide by any laws, nor were there any laws regulating the weather to begin with, so perhaps that wasn't the best way to put it. In any case, illegal or not, the weather was the reason why Peko sat in the shade of a large tree in the park, a bottle of ice next her - not water with ice in it, just ice. Really. It was that hot. 

Her mental sensors were up, which happened to be the reason why she kept her eyes on everyone that passed by. Of course, her young master was not in her protection at the moment, so there was hardly any reason to do so, but she considered it force of habit. Besides, the park was busy, and anybody who may be considering picking a fight against her would be discouraged by the number of witnesses that would be around. With that in mind, she tried to relax, opening a book she'd brought.
