Mood finally struck and I made Sobek a devotional doodle to go with Montu’s. I love seeing them together!

Mood finally struck and I made Sobek a devotional doodle to go with Montu’s. I love seeing them together!
Been a busy few months and I haven’t been as active as I’d like, but I’m trying to make sure I still make little offerings when, where, and however I can. Recently, the jasmine on the fence has erupted into bloom, so I’ve put a little jar of it on the altarspace for Sobek. Montu has some a particularly fiery flower and rosemary sprig from a brigade memorial event. If the recent shufflemancy has been anything to go by, it’s been appreciated!

Finished some sidebar images I’ve been wanting to add to my blog. Monthu and Sobek, respectively. How’s this for a weird coincidence, my altarspace is directly behind me as I work, with the two devotional pieces I made earlier this year up on it. They are in mirror positions to these images on my blog! Like they’ve always got their eyes on me.

My blog renovations are complete and I have launched two pages I’ve been working on for a while. Now, both of the Sirs finally have their own little brief info page with a description, history, list of epithets and offerings! Click on their respective images above to see them. There are also links in my description, and each of the sidebar images. I got a bit code-happy.
I’m working on some devotional art for Sobek and Montu! First time in a long while working with ink traditionally, it’s nerve-wracking! Hopefully will get these finished soon. They’re going on my altar because I’ve been wanting to put some art up for them for a while.
So I met my new PT today. Did a session - mostly introductory, going over all the stuff we’re going to be focused on - and wrote up a plan. As I left the gym Someone was absolutely buzzing with joy. Toothy grin and all. I’m excited myself, just have to set it into my routine.
Ahhh just joined my local gym, gonna go get a PT and a bit more of a pan because it’s clear I’m not providing enough rebliable structure myself.

Trying to pick epithets for Montu which are semi-serious and not complete in jokes. Sobek’s ones are at least tangentially related to our history and an accurate description of a facet of his person - ‘chainsaw teeth’ speaks to how we got started working together and his ragged grin. Montu’s current working one is ‘fight fire with fire’ which harkens to a lot of things nicely.
Regardless, my mind keeps coming back to the goddamned Red Bull slogan because despite being a white bull, the Bukhis aspect of Montu has always been ‘red’ to me, a pale bull on fire, the red of a fire on Emergency status, red-fog of battle. Tying that in with his more dominant falcon aspect is hard. But I am so bloody mad that ‘red bull gives you wings’ actually makes a sensible fucking epithet I am furious but it works so well!
