So, I’m terrible at sticking to a routine or having good habits. I let myself down and talk myself out of doing things very easily and I’m not sure I can stop myself but I’m hoping I can ... so today I wanted to start a routine/habit of meditating in the morning, since I work overnight , it would be after work but before going to bed so that makes it a good time I think. The main goal of course is just making sure that i meditate for the day, doesnt matter what time just that it gets done. I know I need to do some stretches for my back as well but that is two habits to form and I’m not good with even keeping to one for more than a few days (which doesnt form a habit btw....) so trying to keep two isnt going to be easy....... BUT that being said, I have a planner that I bought to keep track of my bills (which was up to date from June to Aug so that is a miracle in itself so I know I’m capable of organizing things.....) and I have room in there for more so..... I’m going to be writing down a check list in there that will have meditate, yoga, drink water, walk the dog, and clean something on every day.... thats 5 things to do... two easy two medium... The plan is that i can try to do at least 2 out of 5. any 2 out of 45so that i’m trying to get into a habit of accountability to myself of getting check marks in the planner of success in trying to keep to plans i made for myself. at the end of every week (so during my weekend work shift) if i have at least 2 of 5 things everyday marked off, then i can order food at work. otherwise, i have to take a lunch. It will be helping me either way if i get my checks or not but still rewarding me if i do. it will start as of this morning. i’m going to be getting off work soon, so the plan is to do the walking meditation this morning while i take my dog for a walk after work. I need to stay awake long enough to call a friend at 730 so after i get off work, this will keep me awake, and help with my check list and hopefully, help my soul a little as i go through the week..... while i make my journal entries about my meditations, i’ll make a little note of progress at the end so that i’ll have accountability on here as well. even though i dont have followers to say anything, there is a thought that I might or that in the future, if someone goes through here, they might get some encouragement from my journey. Look to the bigger picture, right?
