“Son. Goku. What a pleasant surprise.” The android uncrossed his arms, turning around fully to SMIRK at the saiyan. This was a being he had waited YEARS to see again, the one fighter he wanted to BREAK perhaps even more than Son Gohan. “You don’t look too happy to see me, a shame. And here I thought we could be buddies!”

Conquest's End
Stepping out of a whirling black portal, Darius took stock of his surroundings. Another Earth. After conquering dozens of worlds on his quest, he'd brought to heel different versions of Earth in the past. This one was just another. While adjusting his dark coat, he paused as his arcane sense picked up a powerful life force. 'That energy... This could be a problem. My men can't handle a threat like this. I'll have to deal with it myself. How irritating.' With no further ado, he vanished in a burst of speed. The sooner he got rid of this obstacle, the sooner he can bring this world to order.
In a matter of minutes, he managed to pinpoint the location of the powerful life force. Appearing as if from nowhere, he observed his target in the wide open plains they stood on. Orange Karate Gi, blue wrist bands, and oddly spiky hair. Seems like he'd interrupted training. No matter.
"Greetings. My name is Darius. It is a pleasure to meet you, especially one with such a powerful life force." He said politely. "I apologize if I've interrupted something." He said as he approached casually. "But you see, I intend to rule this world, as I have many others. You are the strongest being I can sense on the planet. I'd rather not do this the hard way unless necessary, so I ask you. Will you join me?"

Juvia knew sensei was strong. She knew he could transform and cause havoc on evil. She knew all of this, and a curious part of her wanted to see it for herself.
She didn’t expect this to happen, though.
It was a wonderful full moon evening, and Juvia was having a pretty nice dinner at his place. Nothing seemed too different about sensei, at least to Juvia. Naturally, she saw the tail, which didn’t really phase her much. She’s seen weirder on people. But... There was a different energy to him. it was a subtle change, but it was enough for Juvia to notice. He seemed stronger, if such a thing were possible. Oh, if only she knew.
All it took for everything to come crashing down was sensei taking out laundry, of all things. It was all quiet, and then... Boom.
“Sensei?”
Juvia rushed out once she heard a noise she could only describe as the embodiment of a nightmare in the form of sound. She rushed out to see what happened with the others, but it was too late. He was under, and the sheer force from the event created a wave would terrify most. For Juvia, she was able to react on instinct - Before the land was to be engulfed by the sea, her water magic came in handy.
Handy was an understatement. With her feet planted into the ground, a forceful pushing motion stopped the water in its tracks. With more force, graciously granted by her training, it rocketed back away from the area. However, there was something... Unsettling about the quiet that the wave left in it’s wa--
WELL THAT WAS NEW.
So yeah, Juvia’s kind of terrified right now. Because suddenly, in the place of her beloved teacher, there’s a fuckgiant monster threatening to destroy everything they’d ever love. Oddly enough, it seemed like Gohan and a couple of the others knew what was going on - that was sensei? Shit, well, Juvia kind of can’t concentrate on that right now, since the force of literally everything happening kept creating more waves against the friggin’ place. Juvia had to take care of some stuff. By stuff I mean, making sure they still had a home to come back to that was not destroyed by a flood, kthx.
Just as quickly as it began, it ended with another ear-splitting noise of absolute horror. Replaced by the giant, golden monster was... Sensei. Yes, it was him. But also... Once again, different. It wasn’t just a tail and a weird aura thing that Juvia could pick up - It was his entire being. He was different, inside and out. And frankly, it was kind of. Terrifying. She’s seen Trunks transform before, but it didn’t look anything like this! Or even feel as different! Was he even okay?
“S... Sensei? Can you hear Juvia?”

Those months in the time chamber had done her a lot of good, but a fourteen year nonstop session was a lot even for her. Hell, that was most of her known life spent in one place! She was an explorer and a lover of adventure, so less than a year had ended up being just fine. Since then, she’d taken to honing those skills she learned on her own time, at a more reasonable pace.
And that’s what she did, until of course that night where pretty much ANYBODY with a sense for Ki had their attention grabbed. A familiar energy, exploding at a rapid rate and very much on the move. By the time SHE had gotten there of course, it had settled down into something much more tame... and insanely more powerful.
This was it, that’s what he had spent all that time in there for. This was the level beyond even a Super Saiyan three. All she could do was SMILE as she approached.
“Now I’m really gonna have to train!”

Raw power surges with the force of their fists exchanging blows. The Prince felt the heat of his ascension grow as their battle continued. In many ways, the man before him was the force he’d always found himself reckoning with. The unstoppable desire to conquer him in battle had taken over his life, driven him to limits he could not have dreamed of if not for that crushing defeat at the hands of Kakarot and his little rogue’s gallery.
Vegeta soars into the sky, his aura crackling with untamed power. There were possibilities to be explored, and each chance he’d gotten to spar with the Saiyan, he took it. It made him better, faster, stronger. That accursed defeat was his blessing in disguise.
“BIG...BANG. ATTACK!” Burning ki flashes from his palm, illuminating their battlefield with a brilliant blast of blue and gold.
Their longevity brought him an anger that couldn’t be tamed. One day he would break their lifelong stalemate. His limits would push far past his adversary, and the Prince of all Saiyans would assert himself as the best in the known universe.
One day would never come soon enough. The intensity of his need grew with each fight. It was more than winning the battle. It was more than an opponent.
They were the last full-blooded Saiyans.
And Kakarot had no interest in their culture. Not their history, not their technology. Nothing that made them great once upon a time. His interest in battle was all that he held in common with the former warrior race.
He refused to entertain the notion he had failed as a Prince in not educating the last of his subjects. It was an unproductive thought.
But nonetheless, it had once been his duty.
It... Would, have been his duty. Once upon a time.
But that time has passed.
He breathed deeply, peering down at the wreckage of their arena. Kakarot wouldn’t be brought down so easily, and he was ready for him.
