I believe that Lance and allura will be canon at the beginning of season 8, but something happens (the tree scene). 

Haggar somehow mind controls keith

Lance and Keith get into a fight (this is where lance gets his eye scar)

Lance gets through to keith

Lotor shows up eventually

Matt doesn’t die

Klance becomes canon.
