MUSE : PRESSURE
This is Chance, I can't remember how old he was last time I was here but he is now 17 months old, a whopping 1 year and 5 months. Where has the time gone right? He weighs about 23lbs and is 30 inches long or somewhere around there. He knows the words mama and dada, uh oh, good, cheese, cracker, sticker, car, and a few more. He goes 'tickle tickle tickle' while wiggling his fingers, he answers questions with a nod or a shake of the head. He knows where his teeth are (which he has 7 of) and his bellybutton. He also knows where his shoes and socks go, he knows how to walk, and all and all he's just growing up way too fast. He used to eat everything but now he mostly eats turkey, chicken and ham, lots of cheese and crackers, bananas, yogurt, oranges and a few veggies here and there. He's been in daycare full time since August and we have officially switched over to cloth diapers (except at daycare). Oh, and that little furry thing next to him is our new addition and his partner in crime, Charlie. A 4 month old kitten we got in December.
Update on Chance Michael
He will be 9 months old in 2 DAY! Say What? He can say mama and dada, and sometimes I swear he says no. He also is very talkative and seems like he's trying to have a conversation with you.
He is also crawling, this is very recent. We all thought he was going to walk before crawl because whenever he was on his stomach he would just scream, but would pull himself up on things and walk if you held his hands. He crawls by standing up on his back legs and walking on all fours basically, so it still seems like he wants to walk.
He is so good at pulling himself into a standing position and even will let go of objects he's holding on to for a few seconds at a time. Once he figures out his balance he will be running around in no time.
He doesn't have any teeth yet, but that doesn't stop him from eating some big boy foods. He'll eat little bits of cheese and meat (if they are soft enough) and all kinds of veggies, crackers and so on. He eats a lot too... I don't know how to keep this kid full.
I am making his own food still and we will be continuing to cloth diaper when we move into our apartment because we have a laundry room that's equipped with a washer, dryer and utility sink.
Also in our new apartment, Chance will be getting his own room! It will be different to not have him in our room with us, but a good different, hopefully.
Baby almost fell
Last night was a rough night with Chance so we brought him into bed with us. He always sleeps in between us when he's in our bed but somehow last night we switched positions and he was towards the edge. I don't really know how it happened, but anyways, all of a sudden Chance is rolling off the bed and before he can roll all the way off I had woken up and caught him and I don't think he even woke up. But I just feel awful! I can't help but keep thinking about he almost rolled off the bed and would have hurt himself :(
I didn't write an update last night.
Chance is now: 12lbs 2oz (1.7%) 23 inches (<1%) Head is 16cm (21%)
So chance is a little baby but he probably gets that from my side of the family.
He also got 3 shots and one by mouth and my poor baby boy hated it and was miserable the rest of the night.
That's all I have for now.
4 months old
Chance is 4 months old today, I can't even believe it. He holds his head up amazingly for very long amounts of time, he is almost sitting up on his own, he is really reacting to the world around him and he's developing such a personality.
He also has the belly laughter down and is laughing all the time. He's really into his jumper he got for christmas and wind chimes. He also stands up and holds his own weight for 5 minutes at a time as long as we keep him balanced. He will be rolling over shortly, I can feel it, he's just barely started to be OK with tummy time so we can do it more that before.
He has an appointment tonight though and we will find our his exact weight and maybe I can get her to measure him.
