‘Why?’ She doesn’t understand Kara. She doesn’t understand the woman’s faith in her. She doesn’t know how to explain to her that beneath the cool exterior everyone sees, there’s a broken woman who doesn’t deserve the kindness Kara insists on giving her. She shakes her head, turning her face away from Kara so that the woman can’t see her expression. It’s been so long since anyone’s cared that it almost hurts. ‘Why won’t you? No one would blame you if you did’.

“Oh KARA! Come out and PLAY!” Only his good side, the side that could be easily mistaken for Barry’s was in view beneath the night sky as he stood out on Barry’s superfriend’s balcony.

Alura beams at her daughter, holding her hand tighter as they stand unnoticed and undisturbed in the gallery with is grand, vaulted ceilings, surrounded by so much colour and beauty that it almost makes her head spin. ‘I do’, she whispers, her eyes sparkling with the light shining through the enormous windows, ‘oh, Kara, I really do’.
She squeezes her daughter’s hand tighter, because she can, because there’s no need to be afraid of hurting her, and says, ‘why don’t you lead, and I’ll follow? Show me... whichever is your favourite, first’.
@chanceofpunching | misc starters – "I missed you."
Alura raises her eyes from the pancakes she’s learning to make, and a smile curves her lips. She moves the pan off the stovetop, wipes her hands on her apron, and rounds the kitchen island towards her. She reaches for her daughter, and takes her hands in her own, smoothing her thumbs over her knuckles with a gentle smile. It’s still so strange to her, to see her daughter so grown up, still so strange to know that it’s been so long since her planet died, when for her it’s only been a few months.
‘I missed you too’, she says softly, squeezing Kara’s hands before she pulls her into her arms. She tucks her chin onto her shoulder, and closes her eyes. ‘I’m... I know I’ve said it already, but I... I’m so sorry I didn’t get here sooner’.

He looks up at Kara as he sits in on a bag of ice on the back porch of his private hiding place. Well, not exactly a hiding place. It's the shed in his backyard that was custom made for him. "My butt hurts."

She had been hanging out with one friend, waiting for her mom, when he tried to kiss her. She ended up pushing him into the pool but he pulled her in with him. Luckily, she got away from him and got out of the water. "Jason, I told you I don't like you like that!" She huffed, grabbing her towel and wrapping it around herself before grabbing her stuff.
"Don't ever let anyone make you feel ashamed of who you are."
"I'm not. I have two awesome moms."
