Saw my therapist about my arm yesterday and it went well. But she’s going to the US next week for a conference. I said, oh. She said, yeah. Pregnant pause. She said, the numbers are down on last year, people cancelling. I said, well, you’ll probably be fine at the border, you’re white and you have blue eyes. She said, probably, but I don’t have a dick.

This is how perceptions of travelling to the US have changed in the last few weeks. However, Australians have been detained by border officials and sent back here for no good reason even before now, due to the weird culture among a significant number of US border officials who are suspicious of anyone not from the US.

Welcome to Lenapehoking. Visitors will notice a new installation at the entrance of our American Art galleries that recognizes the Brooklyn Museum’s location on Lenapehoking—the ancestral homeland of the Lenape (Delaware) people. Developed in consultation with Lenape leaders, the artworks on view foreground the original inhabitants of what is today known as Brooklyn and the Lenape people’s histories of cultural expression, migration, and resilience. 

This display is the first in a number of recently reinstalled spaces in the Museum’s American Art galleries that explore the diversity, changing perceptions, and narratives that define this land and its histories.

It feels like another era now, but there was a point where I actually thought Jaden was Nick's straight ex-friend who had just been too dumb to pick up on the fact that Nick wanted him and now I'm at a point where I wonder if calling Jaden bisexual is too generous becaue I increasingly find myself doubting he's even attracted to women himself.
