More bad news: we’re already halfway through this series of Big Brother Australia

The finale will be happening on Monday, 8th December. That’s Day 30 in the House.

Rumours had swirled that the series might be extended for an extra week or two, if it performed well. Which it has – BBAU is Channel 10’s biggest reality show since 2023, their biggest ever streaming show, and it’s averaging 920,000 nightly viewers. It also delivered the network’s biggest week of the year so far. Not bad for November.

After this Sunday’s double eviction, there’ll be 10 Housemates left, and only two weeks left of the show. We know from Big Brother UK that such a quick turnaround can be done. We also know that it usually comes with... shenanigans. Don’t be surprised if the producers resort to snap votes and backdoor evictions, is what I’m saying.

And don’t be surprised if there are six Housemates in the final.

^ my UHF-sona and George in their uniforms. He works at Big Edna’s Burger World while they work at Burger King (because I actually worked there but not anymore LOL) I thought it would be a funny detail.

I would have more ideas rn but I don’t really write. It’s also just a very open ended AU so all I could give is bits of details and some scenarios. Almost like headcanons because Teri ends up with Pam in this AU but I still have to draw that. At the moment I’m smitten over George Newman.

Unspecified call letter and network-less Cable channel 18 becomes UBS WPBJ cable channel 10. There has to be a reason for some of that, doesn't there?

Curious to note, the backdrop changes twice in quick succession. Evening becomes afternoon.

The call letters wpbj do not exist tv. In radio, I can quickly find four stations that have been affiliated with the call - letters (w or k -- either part of the country just really wanting to get in the peanut butter jelly) -- one, a Providence station in the forties a book on farm radio broadcasts takes note on, two is one that may or may not have come into being, three is some station in Texas, and the most recent (current holder, I think) is one in upstate New York -- had been Radio Disney but flipped to Music of the 1980s. A fifth KPBJ falls outside the law. On the new network affiliation -- if it is UBS, that is the fictional network Howard Beele hosted a newscast on Network. If it is UPS, they have a package for you.
