Boys of Summer - wished she wrote it
Oh Well - one of her favorite songs ever
Babylon Sister - Steely Dan. She used to play the Gaucho album over loud-speakers that came with the first house she bought in Beverly Hills
Monday Morning - She always thought Lindsey had a great voice. “He kicked some butt with this one.”
Blackbird - The Beatles. “Everyone’s favorites in the world is The Beatles” and “I could choose millions” but because she wrote a song called Songbird, she chose Blackbird
Go Your Own Way - “I’ve chosen this one because it’s kind of anthemic. Lindsey always, to this day, thinks this is the best song he’s ever written, and I don’t necessarily agree with him about that.” She thinks he’s written lots of great songs.
Southern Cross - Crosby, Stills, Nash. So atmospheric she can remember where she was when she first heard it
Don’t Stop - also a “bit anthemic, and I bet Bill Clinton could tell you why”. It’s a “good old stomper” called Don’t Stop
Start Me Up - Rolling Stones. Stones have always been a big band for her; a big favorite..rock and roll, blues….”Keith Richards is a fantastic guitar player.” And this is one of her favorites.
Gypsy - She says they did the most fabulous video for this...”very long video, but it was beautiful”
Lying Eyes - The Eagles. She says there are so many great songs from this band she had trouble picking one. “They’ve been in our careers forever. We used to compete with each other for number one album.”
Honey Hi - “One that I’d written about my dad and it started off with a funny little keyboard piece and was augmented by Lindsey. It’s a sweet little love song called Honey Hi.”
