I love how in almost all (or really all?) sparrington fanfics I've read Jack always calls James by some diminutive form of his name, like Jimmy or Jamie (if he isn't going with very emotional "commandor"), and James vocally loathe it, at least at first. It just looks so in character for them
The only way it can be funnier is if Jack comes up with new ridiculous nickname every time, going worse and worse, and James is basically waits with horror for every new deformation of his name. At that point he would be glad to go by Jimmy, cause this is ways better.
