🔮Any advice you would have given 10 y/o you?

Oh that’s a tough one. Probably that it’s okay to be ‘weird’, because everyone else is weird too; some just hide it better. Life’s too short to worry about it.

⚡Ever had a Greek Mythology phase?

Oh definitely, all through elementary and middle school. Hence, I was the weird kid! Artemis and Persephone were my ladies!  It’s also what eventually led me to choose ancient mediterranean studies as my second major in undergrad! Never let them tell you it’s just a phase kids, not when you can turn it into a career!

Last Song: “Indiana Jones and the Arabian Nights” by the Piano Guys. It’s on the playlist I listen to when I do the dishes.

Last Movie: “Curse of the Golden Flower” 2006, directed by Zhang Yimou. The plot is kinda melodramatic, but the visuals are stunning and the costumes are GORGEOUS.

Currently Reading: The Tombs of Atuan by Ursula Le Guin, and Medieval Disability Sourcebook; Western Europe edited by Cameron Hunt McNabb.

Currently Watching: “The Inheritors.” It’s a nice little soap opera-y kdrama with all the normal tropes. The characters genuinely seem to care about each other as friends. I was looking for something more akin to “Hospital Playlist” but I like this one anyway.

Currently Craving: Hot chocolate and those cookies you buy at the store with the white chocolate and macadamia nuts
