[Houlin, while technically being Hriob’s adoptive uncle, is seen more like a big brother... even though at times Hriob inwardly/subconsciously feels he’s far more mature and practical than Houlin ever is. However, he is not at all harboring any disrespect towards the Dragon, and finds he is one of the few people he can relax and goof off with freely when times are good... when times are bad, he knows he can be trusted.

Rithe... Hriob doesn’t want to kill as much as he does Thane. She, to him, is merely a fool trapped by Thane's machinations, one that will perish one way or another, more likely by the deicidal dragon’s hand than his own. However, he is not sentimental or soft about her, and not only is capable of trying to kill her if he had to, but he has spent many, many hours of research and training to work out many ways to kill her effectively with and without magic for such an eventuality.]

Teritary Vaer Notes:

Lyth and Houlin are on relatively good terms, consider convincing Houlin to be more open and visiting more often. It would do well for both of them to stay together at this point… they deserve to enjoy what family isn’t trying to kill or enslave them before anything else happens to ruin that.

Keep an eye on Linae… she has been helpful, but she is hiding something still, and obviously hates me… however, she is getting along surprisingly well with Akira and his sister… maintain observation, but give distance with the understanding that Akira will offer a nice bridge between us in due time.

Thane has been less and less active as of late, meanwhile Rithe has been much more active, and apparently coming into contact with numerous new players… contingencies and counter-measures for a full fight with either or both are to be maintained at the ready at all times, but for the time being blatant conflict is undesirable for numerous reasons. Considering applying same policy to those under their influence that I’m considering for Amelia’s forces and allies…

The dragon peered down at the human dwelling below.  So this was where his darling protege, Lythine, was holed up.  How... quaint.

Not that it mattered to him.

He ought to send her a message.  Remind her who she belonged to.  Remind her of her place in this world.

It wouldn't do for his perfect little soldier to be dwelling among humans, of all things.

Claws dug into the side of the mountain as he focused, diverting a nearby stream - and the lake it drew from - so that it flowed into the village streets.  It wouldn't be long before the whole town would be flooded.

No matter - none of the humans there worshipped him anyway.  And surely Lythine wouldn't be bothered by a little flood.
