The contrast between its two facets is INSANEEE
I really really like Akane’s God of Death. I love its multi-facetedness and flexibility. True the pages above, it was both horrifying and funny to me - got me to get scared, and to snort a bit. In fact, I love it when real life authors pull what Akane did here. They put their work out there, but in the end they leave it up to the audience that decides the story’s “nature”, even if the author may or may not have an aim or effect they want to deliver. You can also see how Akane applied Rokuro’s advice to “delegate” a bit to the audience!!
