what went down at the Reverie? obviously i know as much as the next guy, but i think i’ve got a pretty good guess. i expect to be wrong, but here’s what i’ve got for now
assuming Morgan can be believed abt what happened (given he admits to spinning lies), he mentioned three things i find of interest.
1. an assassination attempt. the WG went after Vivi and/or Cobra at Im-sama’s directions. probably related to Pluton, maybe related to the straw hats(?). i assume the blame for this will fall elsewhere, not with the WG (or this would be what they failed to cover up)
2. a death. now i know most would say the obvious choices would be Sabo or Vivi, but i think they’re both too big to kill off screen, and too important to Luffy to kill w/out him knowing. so my bet for this would be Cobra, Vivi’s father. but, we haven't seen a body, so i wouldn't bet anyone is actually dead yet.
3. sabo. the paper never actually said he’s dead that i saw, so i’m p damn sure he isn't. he's been blamed for the death of Cobra and arrested. a revolutionary killing a WG-aligned royal wouldn't be a stretch. Sabo’s headed to Impel Down, and execution is not far off. this would still cause the same upset reactions from his family, since they’ve already experienced this once and know how it ends. (also, given i believe the events involving Vivi and Sabo are related, i think the Revos who were w Sabo might have helped Vivi escape. this is mostly bc i think that would be cool...)
so, tl;dr: The WG assassinated Cobra and blamed it on / arrested Sabo
