Enjin's Fingernails & The Watch

Since we now know Enjin is the owner of one of the Watchmen Instruments, and we know it manipulates time...

What if Enjin's fingernails aren't actually painted, rather decayed and a sign of how many times he's used it?

Obviously, he's young and doesn't have his tattoos yet—but at the same time Chapter 166 IS when he acquires the Watch, so it's plausible to think his nails may correlate to the Watch usage.

And as we know, throughout the series, we see all his nails "painted" except for his pinky.

(it's worth noting there are a few inconsistencies with it—some shots in the anime have all his nails painted, and in some manga panels we see other)

When Alto offloads the Jinki to Enjin, it's stated there's heavy consequences when it's used; he tells Enjin to never use it. And when it comes to any time manipulation power, the most common consequence is ageing.

So what if his fingernails are indicative of the Jinki's usage?

It's a bit of a stretch, but it's something.

Also, Rudo was a giver when he was born—he has no shine in his eyes.

But seeing this panel, and knowing Urana is very deliberate with her panelling...

Knowing Enjin is the holder of the Watch Jinki, what if Rudo did die after falling from the Sphere. We don't know if Alto used the Watch Jinki to "save" Rudo, but there could be a possibility each time the Watch is used it's to save Rudo?

HUUUUH???? DUDE ALTO SAVE HIM AND DISAPPEARED AND THEN WHEN HE APPEARED AGAIN HE WAS BASICALLY HALF DEAD AND CARRYING A BABY RUDO

duuude... Enjin was saved during the rain and the person who saved him from the rain unfortunately couldn't be saved.

But there is ONE person he can save. And that person being the child that the man that saved him cared for the most (in assumption, of course)

I wonder what happened to mama surebrec :[[[ I assume she died during or before when alto was taking rudo with him

THEORY TIME!!!

Rudo was originally a groundling before alto took him to the sphere. REGTO is ORIGINALLY from the sphere and alto gave the remaining watchmen items to regto for safe keeping since he's slowly losing his mind. Maybe since he was losing his mind, he must have done something to rudo and had done that killing spree before getting sent to death by the pit.

Since the watchmen are powered by obsession, then maybe too much obsession could cause major damage to the user? And maybe that's why alto doesn't want enjin to use it and only keep it safe? Since enjin seems obsessed with connecting people and making use of his name, then maybe it would affect him more than the rest???

After all, obsession can and WILL ruin someone. So, that very instrument could ruin all of their lives just as much as it fills that hole in their soul.

Man I cought up with the Gachiakuta manga again. Wtf. Huh. Insane plot twist. Enjin beening rudos older sub ^2 thanks to the dad connection. Peak literature.

Also enjin whole back story is lowk trans coded. Hear me out. Running away from home. Changing his name to something that actually makes sense for who he is. Found family with other different from the majority people.The fashion. You can't look me in the eyes after seeing that short sleeve button up + baggy pants + long sleeve + backwards cap and say that ain't trans man fashion. This tattoos (and nails, earrings). The fuckass but somehow still responsible adult aura.

Uuuggghhh the about of gender envy I have for that man. I need his coat. His build. His confidence. Ive been planing to get tattoos in the same places he has them ( and similar is visuals - ornamental/tribal Idk what u call it when it's cool swirly design allover with meaning n forms u can see on closer inspection)

I wanna be him so bad u don't get it.
