[Chapter 347]
This is a spoiler 🚨

Toga’s Confession
Chapter 347:
Okay, first: Papa Yami is, in my books, almost as hated as Tucker from FMA. (In case you don’t remember the name “....Ed...ward....” should tell you plenty). Anyways...
It would have, of course, been too easy for the dragon to be killed with a single blow, so it isn’t exactly a wonder for it to come back. But I am surprised that the Ryuzen Seven seems to be getting their asses kicked as much as they are. Though, suppose, it is a legendary dragon that was kept at bay for a reason. Meaning that the plot is staying consistent.
But man is that Boogeyman (a bit like Nightmare Magic) effective! It is an interesting concept, and I was waiting to see something like that, given that we already do have Dream Magic. It really is horrifying because it taps into a person’s psyche and brings forth a very personal hell.
And oh boy do Ichika’s memories bring forth a very personalized hell indeed. Yes.
But there were a lot of answer’s with that chapter. Firstly, Papa Yami is scum (well, we already knew that), but he really saw the bar set for parenting in BC and decided to dig a hole so that he could walk under the gear that holds the bar in place.
Papa Yami is bored with peace, and wants to bring forth a war. So, he’s essentially a fighter, who trains to fight, instead of a warrior (it’s nitpicking on terminology, I know I know). But he then decided to force his kids to eat the Demon Soul drug and kill the rest of the clan to ... I don’t even know, prove that they were strong? Or maybe there was no point. Other than bloodshed.
But Sukehiro seems to have resisted the effects, while Ichika and (most likely) Papa Yami then killed the clan. And Sukehiro then thought that the only way to stop their father is to kill him.
So that’s what he did.
And Ichika didn’t remember what she did under the effects of that drug, so Sukehiro decided to take the blame for it and protect his baby sister from the realization. He gave her someone to blame, other than herself.
No wonder she’s struggling to keep herself together, even when she’s strong.
But Luckily Asta comes to the rescue!
Also, now I want to see the Sukehiro and Ichika reunion even more.
