Long time no chapter drawing. I think this is the first time I’m not making myself do a square canvas. I feel free

Venture Finding Claw in the last chapter, felt like drawing something for the chapter :]

“What is all this?”

“It’s how my kind connects to our ancestors...those who died,” she responds sadly, watching as an older and taller male walked up to a Chilean woman and started dancing with her, the two ghosts circled around one another with their wrists connected in the air.

“What are they doing? How can I see these...people?”

“I’m allowing you to. That’s my mother and father. This is our ceremony dance...a mating dance if you will. Traditionally the mother would teach her children, but since mine was killed when I was young, I had to learn from my father. I only have so much time.”

“Why?”

“I’m the last female. No one else will be able to teach me. May as well learn from the best,” she says, watching as the ghosts of her ancestors dances through the empty ballroom, their wings open, their gowns flowing, and their hearts hopeful for the future.

Another teaser for my OC’s? You better believe it. I have so much muse for these characters I know I’m going to be spending a lot of my time working on this kinda stuff.

This drawing is heavily inspired by Stoick and Valka’s dance from How To Train Your Dragon as well as ‘The Last of Her Kind’ which was very fitting, I had to use it as inspiration.

I love how this came out, it’s exactly how I envisioned it and I don’t think I could have done a better job on this. Let’s see how this story continues shall we?

We r a month away from the second book… Not to be a big baby but there were a lot of times where I felt embarrassed and like a letdown for sum of my chapter drawings. To be fair I was doing a new one each week along with the writing, but still! I’m hoping to develop a system where I can put out better drawings with less burnout risk
