My planned scenes for the first chapter of my different refrain fic are essentially as follows when boiled down:

Fairly angsty

Old man being a bastard

Kinda whumpy

Actually a nice scene

Angsty and whumpy

If this scene were its own oneshot it would be a whumpy sickfic

Mostly nice with a twinge of angst

Whumpy

Almost totally nice if it weren’t for the reason it needed to happen

Whumpy

Whumpy

So, so very whumpy

Angsty

Angsty + whump-ish

Also angsty + whump-ish

Hopefully at least slightly comedic to end the chapter

And oh, it’s Hiccup who’s getting hit with the full force of this angst and whump, just for the record

Chapter plans

Alright, so due to the response, I will be mixing chapter 10 and 11 to make a big boy chapter. This long chapter will probably come out around the end of July, maybe a little earlier, maybe a little later. So yeah! Can't wait to see you then :)
