Calling chara by a pet name for the first time

"Hey y/n, Toriel made chocolates cake, do you want some?"

"Sure"

Chara went to grab the cake and summoned a red knife in her hand to cut a slice out of it which she then gave to you

"Thanks so much"

You kissed her cheek causing her to roll her eyes and blush slightly as she grabbed a slice too

"Yeah you're welcome"

"No really I appreciate it babe"

Chara forced herself to swallow the piece of cake in her mouth and looked at you surprised, her red eyes widened and her cheeks blushed once again

"Wha-what did you call me?"

"Babe? It's a pretty common pet name for couples"

"Y-yeah but....you never called me by a pet name before"

".....wait really?"

"Yeah, it was always just chara"

"........oh"

You two looked at each other awkwardly until chara took another bite of the cake

".....so do you not like pet names? I'm sorry if that's the case"

"No it's not that, i'm fine with pet names it was just....unexpected"

"It just came out, I don't think I even realized what I was saying"

"I told you it's fine, eat the cake before it gets cold now"

You smiled at her and cut a piece out of the slice

"Sure thing babe"

Chara looked at you with a deadpan expression

"Don't push it now"

"O-oh sorry again"

I've seen your post about the ddlc girls being praised and being called an "good girl" and i was wondering, how would that situation work with chara?

Kissing and praising chara

Chara is confused when you called her over since you could have just came yourself but eventually walks up to you a bit annoyed

And she blushes instantly once you kiss her but isn't that bothered by it since she's kinda used to your kisses by this point

But when you call her a good girl, she looks at her, blushes even more, and her brain shorts circuits. She's not particularly angry or annoyed but tries to act like it. If you tease her about the fact that she liked it she might slap you all while blushing and stuttering about the fact that she definitely didn't enjoy it

"Hey chara come over here"

"Hm?"

Chara looked at you narrowed her eyes and didn't move

"You come here"

"What? Why?"

"Isn't it the same thing?"

"I guess, but I wanna do something cool, I promise you'll like it"

"......fine"

She sighed but eventually walked over to you

"But you better not do anything weir-"

She's suddenly silenced by you kissing her forehead

"Good girl"

Chara freezed and blushed before holding you by your collar

"W-what did you just say?"

"I mean I just praised you for coming closer and letting me kiss you, is something wrong?"

"D-don't just say stuff like that so randomly"

"Why? Are you embarrassed?~"

"Just shut up!"

A/n:I had to brush up on my undertale au lore for this but I still definitely got a lot of stuff wrong so sorry. Also I just love how right now I'm writing a fanfic about a fan made character taking the place of another fan character in an fan au. This is why I love the undertale community

The first feeling chara felt when she understood what had happened was disbelief (I swear I didn't mean the pun... but i guess doing a pun in a storyshift chara post is fitting)

this couldn't have been happening. Her determination should have kept her alive until she achieved her goal, until that damn human was killed.....but in reality, she knew that would have been her last ride, she knew that the moment she had been stabbed anls she smiled in the human's face.....she would have died there, failing her mission....she smiled again in this moment gritting her teeth and clenching her fists

After a bit of time spent drowning in regrets she got up and put her hood back up before starting to walk around stopping shortly after she saw something that caused her eyes to widen......you

Chara wanted to do so many things, cry, laugh, hug you, kiss you, she hadn't seen you in so long...she has missed you so much but she had failed to avenge you, so she didn't do anything that she wanted and just blushed and flashed you a small smile and waved at you

"Hey partner, I really kept you waiting didn't I?"

To her surprise, as soon as she finished saying that, you hugged her tightly, not saying anything, just staying there basking in her warmth

"I missed you"

"Me too......I'm so sorry"

"For what?"

"For not avenging you for starters......no I think it's because I couldn't protect you... I should have killed that human when I first met them"

"................"

Her grip on you tightened, it became possessive, you could feel all the regrets she had, she hugged you like you could have disappeared at any moment.....just like you did before....when that human ripped you away from her

"....that disgusting cruel human....they're just like the rest of them.....You're the only exception.....I'm so sorry"

"....it's not your fault, please don't apologize"

Chara chuckled like she often did but it was a melancholic laugh that had almost nothing of her usual brightness or happiness

"....if you say so, well not that it matters anyway now....that we're both here"

You broke the hug, and chara put her hands back in her pockets, looking back at you still smiling

"Hey......don't take this the wrong way, I'm really glad I'm here with you but.......are the others here too?.....I kinda wanna see them"

"....yeah...I can bring you to them if you want"

"..thanks I'd love that.....then we can hang out together......it's a shame we didn't do that often when we were alive"

You looked down even sadder than you were before

"....yeah...."

Chara noticed your expression and held your hand trying her best to comfort you

"Hey......I know this doesn't mean much right now but.....remember I love you"

You looked up and saw chara looking at you, a comforting warmth in her red eyes

"Hm?......yeah.....I know"

".....and....I'm sure that out there there's tons of other universes where we're all alive and happy together"

"....and you think we're together and in love in those universes?"

"Of course, we're partners after all.....no matters where or when....I'll find you...and you'll find me....so that we can be happy together"

After a bit you smiled to yourself and squeezed chara's hand

".......then that's all I need to hear"

"......huh?"

"...I love you chara.....and even if I'm not happy that things went this way in this universe.......the thought that somewhere.....we're alive and in love and happy......it makes me just a little bit happier.....and this a bit more bearable"

Chara looked surprised before smiling once more, however this smile was much warmer and wider than the other.....seeing you happy even if only a little bit in this situation made her happy too

".....I'm really glad you think so partner..... I love you too"

[Chara sighs again but closes her eyes and opens her mouth, waiting for your kiss]

[You take the chocolate out of your pocket and put it in chara's mouth. She's surprised at first, but as soon as she recognizes the sweet taste, she starts chewing it with a smile on her face]

Y/n:so did you like that?

Chara:Yeah.....but what about the kiss

Y/n:That was it, I gave you a hersey's kiss, it's a type of chocolate

Chara:oh...........ok

Y/n:did you want one that bad~?

Chara:when you told me you were gonna give me a kiss I expected a kiss

Y/n:well I did give you one

Chara:fine, if you wanna play it like this then I'm gonna get the kiss myself

[Suddenly, chara takes you by the collar of your shirt and kisses you passionately on the lips]

Chara:no I brought 8, like 3 of them are gone

Y/n:......you eat way too much chocolate

Y/n:I melted it and made chocolate fondue

Chara:......what's that?

Y/n:Are you serious? You're obsessed with chocolate and don't know what chocolate fondue is?

Chara:I'm allowed to not know stuff, but I'm curious now what is it?

Y/n:it's just melted chocolate that you put in a bowl and dip stuff in

[You take a strawberry,dip it in the fondue and hold it over her mouth]

[She eats the strawberry and hums in happiness as her eyes sparkle]

Chara kinda feels the same, to be honest. She's practically a demon who slaughtered thousands of monsters in different timelines it's a miracle that she still has a soul, and you're a really nice guy. she still wonders why you're with her sometimes

She'll take a while to notice what's wrong with you, but when she does, she immediately asks you who made you sad, and where can she find them. After you explained how you felt she was flabbergasted, you were crazy if you thought you weren't good enough for her. If anything, you were too good and she told you exactly that.

She tried to be more affectionate to you after the conversation (even if she still blushes a lot) she'll also remind you of how much she loves you and how you changed who she was completely, you both helped each other with your self doubt issues.

"Hey, y/n listen to me, how the heck did you start thinking that? Did somebody tell you cause if they did, I swear I'll......no? Alright, just don't think stuff like that anymore. You practically restored my faith in humanity. If anything, I don't deserve you"

Sophie walten

Sophie also feels like she doesn't really deserve you, but it's more because of what she puts you through, she vents to you about her trauma a lot,not to mention all the times you have to wake up to comfort her about a nightmare she had, she thinks she's pushing too much on you and that you're the best person she ever met since you didn't leave her because of that.

She noticed how you felt pretty fast, probably because it's the same way she feels. She was the one to comfort you this time around, hugging you and telling you how much you truly mean to her and how you helped her cope with everything.

She smiles more around you after, trying to physically show you how much you had a positive impact on her life. She also tries to rant less around you as she thinks it might annoy you. She'll always comfort you whenever you're down though, just like you do with her.

"Babe please don't say stuff like that, you're a great guy, and genuinely the best thing that ever happened to me, I.....don't know where I'd be If it wasn't for you, I love you so much please never forget that"

Marin kitagawa

Marin showers you in affection and compliments every 5 minutes, always calling you the best boyfriend ever and the light of her life, she makes you feel so cherished, but you still thought you didn't deserve that. She was so beautiful and nice and you were just an average guy, you thought you didn't deserve her.

She noticed almost immediately what changed in you. It was because you reacted to her daily hugs and kisses with less warmth than usual, so she decided to ask you what's wrong and not leave you alone until you told her the truth, your well-being is the most important thing in the world to her.

She was quite literally speechless when you told her the truth. How did you ever think about something like that? In her eyes, you're literally the most perfect person in existence, and you think you're not good enough for her? She can't have that. She will be twice as affectionate and loving to you after that (which is saying a lot) you'll never go an hour without hearing how awesome you are and how you always make her feel on cloud nine while she hugs you soooo tightly.

"W-wait, are you serious? Baby, pleeaaaaase don't say that. You're like the best. Have I not told you that enough? Cause I'll yell it at you until I lose my voice if that's what it takes. Literally every day I ask myself how I ended up with an angel come to heart, I love you so so so much and you are waaaaaaaay more than enough"

Starting off simple for her. Can we get some Chara relationship headcannons please?

Chara relationship headcanons

It's gonna take a while for chara to admit her feelings, she kinda hates humanity as a whole, and so her falling in love with one felt weird, she didn't like how you made her blush or how she started stuttering for no reason around you. But her soul actually felt...at peace. You were nice to her and made her feel genuinely happy, and after she finally admitted to herself that she was in love she confessed and became your girlfriend, which was probably the best decision she ever made.

She's not used to love at all, so she often asks Frisk (who is also a girl in this btw) how to be a good girlfriend and do stuff to show her love for you, which often results in embarrassing attempts to flirt with you, which she's really not that good at.

She blushes every time you show her affection. She's very touch starved, so a simple hug can make her cheeks become as red as her eyes. Eventually, she gets used to it, though, even giving you some unprompted physical affection of her own to show her love.

She's pretty much a yandere for you. Anyone who says any negative things about you will be met with the grin of the blood eyed demon girl if they're lucky. She would slaughter the entirety of the underground if it'd make you happy.......hypothetically, Frisk is there to control her, and it would kinda break her heart seeing you mad at her the killing.

While she might not always show it, chara is genuinely so happy to have you. You're (besides frisk) the only human who has treated her well and with love, you kinda helped her heal from everything that happened to her, and she's really glad for that. Now that she has someone who loves her and who she loves back she won't let you go.
