I thought I’d jump on the bandwagon and talk about all of my MCs, and I’m starting with my first and still one of my favorites, Loriela of Jiyel. (I’ll also include my initial stats for each girl and the guide I made for myself on how to get those stats. I’ll probably post that information in a separate post as well.)
Name: Lady Loriela of Jiyel (nicknamed Loriel)
Hair: Black, straight, and shoulder length. She probably doesn’t bother with it too much, usually just putting her hair in the simplest possible half updo and securing it with an enamel barrette (I imagine she has a fairly nice collection of these) to keep her hair out of her face. If she needs a fancier style, she’ll put it up with hair sticks or a comb (kanzashi, anyone?) Her hair isn’t particularly thick, but it’s very shiny.
Eyes: Gray, almond-shaped with an upward slant. Her eyes are incredibly intelligent and give you the feeling that she’s always observing.
Body: Alabaster skin with a willowy build. She is on the tall side of medium with long limbs, torso, and fingers. (Basically, she has my figure, but is probably a couple of inches shorter.)
Style: Functional. Some of her outfits have a bit of a military feel to them, with double rows of buttons and a stiff raised collar with embroidery. I noticed some military elements in what Lyon was wearing and since there is an appreciation for strategy and seems to be a long military history in Jiyel, I figured having her in skirted military wear wouldn’t be out of place and would probably be fitting for Loriela. Otherwise, she wears a lot of ao dai (some with pants underneath and some with a second skirt) as a compromise between the need for pretty clothes and practicality. She also wears ruqun and I imagine that Jiyel has a female version of daopao, which is a traditional Chinese outfit that is worn by (male) scholars, since Jiyel has more equality between men and women than Song Dynasty China. She avoids anything with a train or overly long sleeves if she can help it. They might get in the way of reading books, after all! The horror! As for colors, she tends to wear darker ones like blacks, navy blues, and dark greens. She likes to go with more subdued colors in general, so you’ll also find some olives and blue grays in her wardrobe. She wears mostly cool colors and tends to avoid anything that’s overly bright.
Personality: Well spoken and logical. She has a somewhat dry sense of humor, but she likes to laugh and can be charming when she wants to. Incredibly intelligent and sensible, she’s capable of great imaginative thinking, but knows there is a time and a place for it and isn’t the type to let her imagination run away with her. She prefers to be subtle in most cases, rarely commenting on things she finds displeasing beyond a raised eyebrow. However, she loves a lively debate and when it comes to academics, she is engaging, quick witted, and equally quick to share her views. Somewhat surprisingly, she reads just as many novels as she does factual texts and she has a romantic streak that believes in true love and the existence of selfless heroes. In addition to enjoying the tales, she also thinks there are often just as many things to learn from fiction as there are from fact and consequently, her knowledge is vast and varied. Loriela finds great value in innovation and will never turn down a new idea thoughtlessly.
Despite her faultless logic, she is spontaneous and thrives in chaos, relishing the challenge of tight deadlines. When combined with her compassionate nature, this often means that she is quick to act when it comes to helping others. She has a strong sense of justice and believes it is the duty of those in power to help those who are not. Loriela’s greatest weakness is her extreme introversion, which makes politics a somewhat trying experience for her. Like Lyon, she enjoys the solace she can find in libraries and if she doesn’t have at least half an hour to herself to read in bed before she sleeps she tends to feel twitchy and anxious the next day. She also enjoys escaping into the gardens, especially right after it rains. Rain always makes her feel more peaceful and her favorite place to be when it rains are idly reading by a window or watching under the cover of a gazebo or a building’s eves outdoors.

text post regarding that anon who asked me about how I make my characters, example; two characters I made up literally an hour ago.
So, my family and I sat down and watched a movie two hours ago. that mission impossible movie, ghost protocol (idk if you've seen it but it doesn't matter if you have because the plot of the movie had nothing to do with the idea for the new characters.)
Mercenary Eagle is a story that I've had in the works for a while now, but its DESPERATELY in need of more characters. Its very hard to have a story with such a limited amount of characters, but its also extremely difficult for me to just make a character up on the spot when i need one. Its possible, I've done it before, but its not always successful.
In the movie though, at one point they talked about masks, and disguises when I realized that would be super helpful to have a character that specialized in masks or making people look like other people for undercover missions.
So, I decided on a boy, a boy who was obsessed with monster movies and that sort of makeup fake stuff that could make you look really scary.
but that's kind of past the point, since they're trying to look like other people not scare the poop out of somebody, so he needed a sister.
He needed a sister for more than three reasons therefore she forced herself into existence by being the one interested in makeup, having a partner in crime means that they could each practice putting the makeup on someone, an then the boy would be the one to mention "hey can you make me look like a zombie." and eventually they'd practice their skills to the point that they both were very good artists in that area and liked what they did, thanks to each other.
Then because of their awesome skills, would eventually be discovered by the Smythe Eagle, and hired for their special talents.
Technically, I thought of everything for them myself, but it all domino effected into the obvious choices. I still have personality work, appearance, and even back stories to consider if they'll be important characters that is, but the basic framework all happened in the blink of an instance when I realized that there needed to be someone to fill a job, to fill a spot in a story that may or may not be needed.
In order to make them actual characters a lot of pondering has to go into their shells of a purpose for existing, but that's usually the basics of how character creation works.
For me anyway.
