Humid, Rainy Flowers

Rain.

Rain and more rain, typical for summertime, which seemed to exist in two modes; blistering sun and pouring rain that soaked the streets and left the world muggy and hazy.

Not that he minded, much, the heat was oppressive and vaguely disgusting, leaving him to find some refugee in the shade whenever he had a moment. Even a nice, wide-brimmed hat did not provide much coverage when the blistering, oppressive rays beat down on every inch of your skin.

That being said, the cloud coverage and the wide, soaking drops fell to the pavement, his flowers taking the drink as gratefully as they could. Sat along the edges of the small shop he kept.

Customers came and went, but with it being close to the edges of evening, he was debating about packing up soon, tending to some of the tulips, considering whether he’d go for a stroll tonight or not. 

Movement along the corner of his eye had him turning, slightly, giving a side-long glance.

“Feel free to have a look, but know they don’t look their best in this humid rainfall.”

like this isn’t even me being a marvel stannie it’s like. it’s like. disney (a NOTORIOUSLY homophobic corporation) made a lead/incredibly popular character who has his own show within a - i cannot stress this enough - multi trillion dollar franchise canonically bi. i like loki fine but he’s not my favorite i stan now but that’s besides the point BUT like! i am a connoisseur of bi representation in media and so i have been FED today after being starved for so long! let me live!

Fallen

Endlessness, that's what i remember and all i know.

The endless stretches of space and time; passing between the realms.  Empty and nothing.

It seemed fitting.  I have lost everything i have ever known.  My home, my family, my past.  My entire life has been a lie and i know nothing and i feel nothing. 

I closed my eyes and waited for the end to embrace me.  I expect to die.  I let go knowing it was clear that my father--no...he is not my father--tells me no.  I have failed in everything i have ever done.  I fail as king and brother and son.  There is nothing, it is only fitting that i let nothing take me.

I fall...

and fall...

and fall...

I open my eyes.

There is no end, perhaps i will fall forever.  The universe passes me by and then there is endless nothing around me. 

Ah, perhaps this is the end.  Trapped forever here.  I'll die or go mad, perhaps both.  I am already halfway there.  In the end, that is my legacy.  I will embrace it, but for now i should rest.  I should...

But then there is stars and galaxies and skies and i am falling faster now.  I am being pulled in, pulled down and...the sky is so blue.

I slam hard into the ground.

I feel only pain...

My wish for death has not been granted.
