//It's a softer piece, than most of the others. I struggle to put into words, just how much the relationship between Lucifer and Lilith means to me. Lilith, however, is not Elena's mother, she's infertile. Elena's mother is human, a direct descendant of Julius Caesar.

Silence lingered in the air, muddled with smoke, and the scent of myrrh. Flames writhed lazily in the fireplace, staining the shadows orange. Arms crossed over his chest, Lucifer stared into the blaze. His face seemed void of expression, though his eyes gleamed, painted of dawn by the fiery reflections. His long hair shimmered, reminiscent of liquid gold, illuminated by sunlight.

He rubbed his chin, his gilded talons glinting like blades would. Gold varnished the pair of horns on his head, ornamenting their inky surface with mystical symbols. Patches of scales adorned his chiseled torso, and flawlessly toned arms, gleaming scarlet as they cast his pale body aglow. Three pairs of wings rested folded behind his back, leathery, though sprouting crimson feathers.

Deep in thought, he did not hear the soft footsteps approach, nor did he heed the presence behind him, before slender arms wrapped around his waist. Lilith buried his face into his bicep.

“What’s on your mind, my love?” she purred.

A small smile appeared on his lips; her touch had caused his pulse to flutter.

“Nothing” he murmured “I was woolgathering.”

Her fingertips crept down the scales covering his chest – she glanced up, catching his gaze.

“In all the centuries” she raised her eyebrow “We’ve spent side by side, have you once managed to deceive me?”

He let out a chuckle.

“I was wiser, than to ever try.”

Her expression darkened. She sensed the unease gnawing at him, she could almost taste it, and it made her heart weigh heavy. She pressed a kiss to his shoulder.

“Talk to me” she pleaded.

Lucifer sighed, turning to the fire again. His arm snaked around her, to hold her close.

“I worry for her” he confessed.

Lilith rested her head over his heartbeat.

“Your daughter is made in your image” she caressed his collarbone “And, she’s a god in her own right. There’s nothing she couldn’t achieve, nor is there anything she couldn’t endure.”

Lucifer scoffed.

“Endure…” he grumbled, the bitterness ringing clear in his voice.

“The path to glory is not easy” she reminded “You know it better than anyone.”

“It’s precisely what troubles me” he mindlessly stroked her raven hair “I know the forces opposing her.”

“She will not be broken by them” she assured “You’ve sent the Beast of your Wrath, to finish what you started. Trust her, as you do yourself.”

“I’ve left her to her own devices…” he shook his head, grimacing “What kind of father does it make me?”

“But, you have not. You’re always by her side. You will help her, whenever she calls to you, will you not?”

Perhaps it was a bit rude to call Hecate over, out of the blue. She could only hope Hades wasn't keeping her too terribly busy. After all, it wasn't a too-important of a call, just a simple invite for tea and to chat.

River Reed: What is your Watcher’s biggest fear?

Letting someone down. The sole reason she leaves the Living Lands and heads to the Dyrwood is because she failed to identify how someone died, and she believed that visiting somewhere else and seeing new sights would help her get over that.

Skaenbone: Ultimately, which of the God’s of Eora did your Watcher side with in the Council of Stars quest?

Galawain, for the sole reason of her being a Nature Godlike. She doesn’t have strong feelings on any of the gods, neither positive or negative, so that was her sole motivation.

River Reed: What is your Watcher’s biggest fear?

He has a lot of fears, but his biggest fear is definitely slavery. It’s something he’s gone through before, and he’d do nearly anything to avoid it. And if it ever happened again, he’d likely offer himself to his god in hopes of serving as the Effigy.

Skaenbone: Ultimately, which of the God’s of Eora did your Watcher side with in the Council of Stars quest?

Rymrgand, despite not following him. He did it primarily because convincing a group of pale elves to not enter the White Void seemed more straightforward to him than the other quests. Especially when compared to killing a dragon, like Hylea wanted.

River Reed: What is your Watcher’s biggest fear?

The water. Growing up in the White that Wends, most of what they saw was frozen, so to discover that there are vast quantities of it that you can fall into and drown that’s filled with dangerous creatures freaked her out, to say the least.

Skaenbone: Ultimately, which of the God’s of Eora did your Watcher side with in the Council of Stars quest?

Hylea. Despite being told to kill a dragon (which they convinced to leave), they believed Hylea had the best intentions for the souls meant for the Hollowborn in mind.

River Reed: What is your Watcher’s biggest fear?

Failing Woedica, whether accidental or not. She doesn’t fear it out of fearing Woedica’s retribution, but for the act of failing her goddess itself. She prides herself on being a devout follower of Woedica, and to her, failing Woedica would be like betraying herself.

Skaenbone: Ultimately, which of the God’s of Eora did your Watcher side with in the Council of Stars quest?

Berath. She has no strong feelings for any of the gods other than Woedica, and sided with Berath solely because killing people seemed far more interesting than any of the other options available.

River Reed: What is your Watcher’s biggest fear?

She doesn’t. Even though she does have some fears, they don’t really bother her; as she sees death as inevitable and worthy of celebration, she doesn’t see fears as something that should be lingered on or even thought of.

Skaenbone: Ultimately, which of the God’s of Eora did your Watcher side with in the Council of Stars quest?

Rymrgand, for obvious enough reasons. As a follower of him, she had no reason not to do as he requested, and did so eagerly.
