do you ever think assassins would briefly deploy their hidden blades at each other as an assassin equivalent to the middle finger. they might not say anything but a flick of the wrist and you can silently tell a brother fuck off/fuck you/you suck/and fuck your mother too/that was stupid/shut up/i hate you etc.

im entirely imagining ac2-brotherhood ezio doing this as a sneaky way of expressing frustration at people he doesnt like when he cant be vocal about it until he does it in front of like. theodora or his uncle or something and he gets scolded for it

also everybody's favorite brat bird bastard altaïr doing it and having to explain to maria why malik/a nearby brother/etc is scandalized by this. or he does it to malik and malik straight up punches him in the face or something. both are funny

vs malik who stands and watches over him silently from the desk, too used to their shared childhood to be able to ignore the signs that altaïr is stressed and upset but trying to bottle it up, waiting for his novice to sit up and come talk to him, still angry with altaïr for what he's done, but now recognizing with a heavy heart, now that he's a rafiq, all the signs of an assassin who's spent far too long without a break, and wondering if altaïr's ever given himself one..... 💭
