The Charge Axe from Monster Hunter 4 by Capcom, 2013. Monster Hunter is a pretty kanji-heavy game, and the Charge Axe is one of the small handful of items written in katakana.

While I suspect most followers of this blog understand the formation of Japanese words, as a reminder I’ll note that small characters in the YA (ヤ, ユ, ヨ) and A (ア, イ, ウ, エ, オ) lines modify the vowel sound of the character preceding them, and a small TSU (ツ) emphasizes the consonant of the character following it. Thus, CHAAJI AKKUSU.
