a nice de-tour

I was on my way home from a long school day.. And apparently I was so tired I didn't notice the station that I was supposed to get off the train to change for another line..

So I ended up at Charing Cross Station.. and as you can see, in the end that was not such a bad experience.. 😍 (although my journey home got a bit longer than I'd hoped).

These images are prints around the underground platforms of that station, serving as an invitation to the National Portrait Gallery, which is pretty close to the station.

First day on the field

Ondertussen zijn wij al 2 dagen in Londen en ik vind het al superfijn! Vandaag moest ik om 10 uur beginnen op mijn stageplaats bij BLCC (wat zéér vroeg is voor mij🤪) wat ook wilt zeggen dat ik voor de eerste keer alleen ‘The Tube’ moest nemen. Alles verliep heel vlot en ik kwam op tijd aan op mijn stageplek. Mijn stagementor Philippe Sauvage en collega Bassel waren zeer aangenaam en vingen mij goed op. De taken die ik moest in orde brengen, waren wel niet zo interessant maar dat veranderd hopelijk nog wel de komende dagen! De werkdag eindigde om 17u en toen mocht ik terug naar huis vertrekken. Daar had ik wel wat problemen ondervonden met ‘The Tube’ en was ik perongeluk op de verkeerde metro overgestapt waardoor ik ergens zat waar ik nog nooit geweest was (oops :)). Gelukkig is alles inorde gekomen en ben ik op een mooi uur terug thuisgekomen na een geslaagde eerste werkdag! Ik kijk al uit naar morgen en de komende weken.
