Wanted to get around to drawing my and my siblings rdr2 characters. Charles and Amy Mandel (my babies), Matthew Delaney ( @eggscargo​ ), and Sylvia Marie (my little sister). Bios under the Line!

Charles can often come off as intimidating due to his height and often looming demeanor, but is a gentle person at heart. He rarely speaks above a low whisper, let alone much at all, “Don’t have much to say” as he would put it. Amy says his singing voice would put a chorus of angles to shame, though no one’s ever heard him sing anymore than a near silent hum. He’s often just prefers spending his time away from the noise, enjoying one sided soft conversations with the horses and just keeping him and his sister’s settlement running.

Amy despite her sullen appearance, is really what keeps the bunch from dying of things like diseases or the occasional gunshot wound (mostly caused by Sylvia’s shenanigans of questionable honor). She cares dearly for Charles, but fears his soft heart and gentle demeanor will be what gets him killed. However. She has enough distrust to cover the both of them and then some, so she figures it’ll be alright, for at least a while. While she may look small and maybe even frail, she’s quite capable to deliver a fatal backhand with a skillet.

Matthew is a sweet man who really finds animals more enjoyable than the company of people. He’s typically shy around strangers, but anyone who gets to know him would find that he’s lighthearted and silly. Most of the time he keeps himself out of trouble, but more often than not Sylvia manages to drag him into her craziness. Being mute often brings a challenge among judgmental people, but he makes the most of it. Charles and him get along quite well, being one doesn’t talk much and the other can’t, and silent company is all they really need or want. Despite his mutism however, Matthew can whistle extremely well, most of the time whistling in response if any happens to call for him. Sometimes you can catch him and Charles working together, Matthew whistling a sweet and clear tune as Charles hums quietly along.

Sylvia however is a completely different matter. If any explosion happens to take place nearby, you can bet your money that Sylvia is whooping and hollering away from it, most definitely having some kind if hand in it. Though sometimes her moral can seem questionable due to her sporadic personality, she’d never hurt an innocent or good person. She spends most of her time helping out in sheriff work and hunting down less honorable cowboys and gals that pillage the west. No ones entirely sure where she came from or how she manages to slip in like shes always belonged in the family, but in time they’ve just accepted it.

So.... how would Ash and Charizard get along in the Mioo, Dorost Ast au?

Human Charizard only wants and respects strong Pokémon, so he doesn’t take kindly to Nidorash. He’ll snarl and try to set him on fire whenever he gets close.

I love your design for the Mioo, Dorost Ast! comic. What would you say is harder: creating human versions of the pokemon, or deciding which pokemon the humans should be?

It’s equally difficult to humanize something that’s just a floating eyeball as it is to assign a Pokémon to a human character in a show where 99% of human characters have the same face. At least, in the first generation. What do you keep or add in order to make the person or Pokémon recognizable? Often I won’t even bother. Charmander’s original owner is human Charmander’s father.If you’re lucky, things speak for themselves. At other times you have to take a small detail and run with that. For example, Pikachu and his starter friends are direct translations, they undoubtedly look like themselves, while Ash and Team Rocket are jokes. There’s no good reason for Ash to be a Nidoran, and most artists would’ve probably turned him into a Pikachu, but I found the body of a Nidoran to carry his human features better. Meowth evolves into Persian, so human Meowth is from Iran, and that’s the whole joke, epix lool.Turning Pokémon into humans is more fun, still I can’t say that makes going the other way around harder.
