Travel continues daily and the pioneers look forward to breaking at camp each evening and getting to know each other a bit better.
Pete tells Annie all about the farm he hopes to start when settled. She listens politely but isn't sure that farming is all THAT interesting. Lottie quietly listens, enjoying the fresh air and companionship.
Both Jesse and Charles brought a few books along and reading by the fire or lantern light becomes one of the few options available to build fun.

The pioneers soon found their entertainment levels alarmingly low, and decided to repack the wagons to dig out some recreational items.
Jesse pulled his guitar out of a trunk, while Lottie decided to focus on knitting.
Meanwhile, Charles and Nellie prefer to cloudgaze together for fun.

Jesse and Charles spend a lot of time together having discussions about the town they hope to live in someday.
Spending time around the campfire is the pioneers' main activity, but also a source of great danger. Nellie's skirts caught on fire one evening while having dinner. Luckily the fire was put out and she was fine, but it was quite scary in the moment!
No, but for real, there's a fire almost every day. I made them put it out, but perhaps next wagon I'll do death rolls for the sim who catches on fire.

Charles and Nellie are the only married couple in the wagon train. Charles is a minister who convinced the higher ups of his church that he should be sponsored to head west to establish a church for the settlers. He felt a wife would be a help to him in this task, so he proposed to Nellie. Nellie hadn’t been too sure what she wanted to do with her life up to that point, but there wasn’t much keeping her where she was and she liked Charles well enough to accept his proposal.
