Travel continues daily and the pioneers look forward to breaking at camp each evening and getting to know each other a bit better.

Pete tells Annie all about the farm he hopes to start when settled. She listens politely but isn't sure that farming is all THAT interesting. Lottie quietly listens, enjoying the fresh air and companionship.

Both Jesse and Charles brought a few books along and reading by the fire or lantern light becomes one of the few options available to build fun.

Jesse Wheeler is going to have a cameo in GX: Rewrite! One day.

I imagine that since Joey's a professional duelist, Kaiba and Joey see a lot of each other after high school. Kaiba always makes remarks about how he doesn't want Joey at his tournaments, and naturally Joey makes sure to be there. At each and every KaibaCorp tournament. Then, one day, Kaiba's walking through the stadium, watching various duels, and he suddenly realizes that he hasn't seek a certain blonde yet. He starts walking faster. Surely Wheeler is here somewhere. And then he spots him, dueling some stranger in the corner. Kaiba approaches, opens his mouth to make some assholeish remark...and frowns. This isn't Joey. It's Jesse. And Kaiba is absolutely furious.

I thought it was Joey and that he went to prison but no then they said it’s his cousin Jesse Wheeler. I’m actually upset now.

The pioneers soon found their entertainment levels alarmingly low, and decided to repack the wagons to dig out some recreational items.

Jesse pulled his guitar out of a trunk, while Lottie decided to focus on knitting.

Meanwhile, Charles and Nellie prefer to cloudgaze together for fun.

After the first day on the road, the travelers set up camp before dark.

Jesse is the first to successfully start a fire, and he and Nellie begin toasting bread for dinner. Rachel makes polite chit chat about Jesse's medical career and Nellie's plans for the church she and her husband plan to establish.

R: "I look forward to being able to sing in a church again."

N: "I am as well. My husband, Charles, is hoping we can convince church benefactors to send us a piano eventually. I'd love to be able to play."

R: "That would be lovely! Mr. Wheeler, do you plan to set up a clinic when we arrive?"

J: "Oh, I'll probably work out of my home at first, assuming I can get a cabin built quickly. I'm sure I'll do a fair amount of house calls as well. I've heard doctors are scarce, so may even needs to acquire a horse to ride to neighboring settlements."

Meet the Pioneers

Jesse and Charles spend a lot of time together having discussions about the town they hope to live in someday.

Spending time around the campfire is the pioneers' main activity, but also a source of great danger. Nellie's skirts caught on fire one evening while having dinner. Luckily the fire was put out and she was fine, but it was quite scary in the moment!

No, but for real, there's a fire almost every day. I made them put it out, but perhaps next wagon I'll do death rolls for the sim who catches on fire.
