After four rotations, Charlie finally managed to earn enough simoleons to purchase his grocery store!
It was a bit more expensive than most businesses because I'd already built a small store for him with walls and floors, something no one else started off with. Contrary to what it might look like, the Wheatley's are actually one of the wealthier families in Windy Valley.
Well, they were.
They definitely aren't anymore... but I'm sure that'll change quickly! After all, everyone needs to eat!
Kendall had no chemistry with the first two sims she met.
Harvey was a romance sim — not to mention a married man — while Lazlo was pleasure/romance, with his own complicated love life.
While she did have a couple bolts with Charlie, he was obviously very happily married as well. She wasn't about to get tangled up in that kind of drama.
She just had to wait for some single sims to walk by...

Since Paloma was still asleep and Miguel was getting hungry for some breakfast, he decided to make a quick trip to the newly opened Wheatley's Grocer.
"Am I your first official customer?" he asked when he greeted the owner, his friend Charlie.
"Yeah, you are, actually. I'm surprised, I thought other households before yours would've needed groceries," Charlie replied. "I guess most of them had enough produce in their inventories from when they came by the market stall in the front yard of my house."
"Well, regardless, I'm happy to give you your first simoleon for this business," Miguel laughed. "I'm really excited to see the grocery store grow. I'm sure it'll be a huge success! Everyone needs to eat."

Having an official community lot for Charlie's business means we've now unlocked the ability to order groceries!
What a huge milestone for the 'hood!
The evening was a lot more relaxed for every family member, and Charlie decided to take that time to bond with his third son.
"Hey buddy... you haven't had too much attention today, have you?" Charlie asked.
Besides feeds and diaper changes, he mostly just remained in his crib.
"Don't worry, things will get way more exciting when you age up into a toddler!" Charlie assured him as he bounced the little boy around.
Gavin eventually did go down for the night and Charlie was quick to follow suit, ending the summer rotation for the Wheatley family.
They didn't have to pay taxes this rotation and instead got a tax refund of 52 simoleons.
