Imaro
Imaro Art Reel
Imaro by Charles R. Saunders . Pure pulp escapism with everything you need to shut off your mind and drift away into a fantasy Africa. Saunders is often hailed as one of the first black fantasy authors, but that doesn’t mean he avoids the shortcomings of the genre. The stock standard fantasy tropes are aplenty in the novel, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Rather that familiarity makes Saunders’ setting just that much more prominent and enticing. . #imaro #charlesrsaunders #minimonotonebookclub #booksivereadin2021 #booksivedrawnin2021 #booksreillustrated #bookstagram #houlart #houl https://www.instagram.com/p/CWU-5_0hIjQ/?utm_medium=tumblr
You know, all this talk of Diversity go me thinking to the actual orginal black charhters out there that aren’t just race swaps. Like Charles_R._Saunders’s Imaro. Who’s pretty damn cool and deserves to be talked about more. Or, you know, reblogged because this is Tumblr.
