Known as 'Arc de Triomphe of the East', Charminar is a iconic structure of Hyderabad. Built as an epicenter of the city, this beautiful structure was built to commemorate the start of the second Islamic millennium. As the name suggests, it has four beautifully carved pillars or 'minars'. The top floor of this structure houses a mosque which is thought to be the oldest mosque of Hyderabad. Charminar is famous for it's Irani Chai and Osmania Biscuits. However stuck on one corner of Charminar, there is a @cafecoffeeday on the first floor of the shopping complex. Since the day I saw it, I kept it on my bucket list. So last Saturday, when @_arijit_b asked me to accompany for shopping to Old City, I couldn't resist only with a condition we will have a cup of coffee. After a round of shopping we decided to take sip and walked down till Charminar and ordered a couple of Americano. The place is quite empty as it's unlikely that people will drop by but the view of the monument is phenomenal. Another one from my bucket list is done before I plunge for the next. The best part of Haleem (Daleem) is it's garnishing. Since the haleem consists of meat and wheat, the taste varies according the proportion of each quantity. However, the garnishing (or topup) can make a lot of difference. The fried onions, the roasted cashew nuts & a spoonful of ghee can enhance the whole experience of savouring it.
