Continued from this: [x] charming-daring
The blond was not intimidated by the wolf girl’s body language. He stood erect, his glare growing intense as she began to argue further. Does she not understand that he knows from experience that Hook is a terrible influence to anyone he meets? “And I’m telling you, from experience, that he is not to be trusted. I mean it.” He spoke bitterly, “Hook has already been incredibly rude to both Dexter and I. He’s hurt Dexter. And you’re telling me to trust him around my sister? You must be mad!”
Daring rolled his eyes, furrowing his brows. He was successful in keeping his calm, not shouting along with Bellona. But it was becoming incredibly more irritating. It was his stubbornness that prevented him from admitting anything he was doing was wrong, especially towards his sister. In all honesty, Daring felt guilty for often not being there for Darling when they were younger. But now that he was strong and trained by King Charming himself, he could be there to protect her, and Dexter, from any harm. “I love my sister dearly, and I only want what’s best for her.” He growled, “What, am I supposed to wait for Hook to hurt her, like Dexter? Hey while I’m at it, I could allow all the suitors that come to my family’s castle to take her hand in marriage!” He turned around now, not wanting to hear anymore of what the wolf had to say. Whatever it was, it was most likely influenced by the pirate himself. And therefore, not worth listening to.
The growling in the back of her throat faded for a moment as her eyes widened slightly. She’d been aware that Hook was rude to Daring, who could take it, but Dexter? Dexter was a Charming, sure, but he didn’t have the personality traits she thought made James and Daring enemies. And that kid caught enough grief already. “...I wasn’t aware of that. I’ll speak to him about it.” She ground out through a tightening jaw. She wanted to lash out more every second, her anger and frustration building. You have no one to blame but yourself. You chose to be friends with them both. “But, I feel I should point out that you, Dex and Hook have something in common that your sister and I do not.” She managed to unclench her fists so she could hold her open hands out at her sides. “But if you don’t believe me, you can talk to Lizzie, or Kitty, or Maddie, or Raven.” If her point wasn’t obvious before, hopefully it would be now.
He wasn’t listening. When had she even said that? She’d only been arguing that Hook could be trusted not to hurt or steal from Darling, not that the two should date! And now he was turning away, and she couldn’t hold her rage back anymore. How could he not realize he was only making his sister miserable?! “What’s best for her? You don’t even know what that is or you’d already know she doesn’t like guys!” The words escaped Bellona’s lips before she could think them through. Immediately after she gasped and covered her mouth, her face flushing with shame. That was not her secret to share. Before the prince could react, she turned on her heel, turning into her wolf form before running off. Oh godmother what did I just do?!?
