Charon/Gob (Charob as myself and my friend call it) are arguably my favorite rarepair.
Imagine Charon being sent to retrieve Gob by the Lone Wanderer, with orders to bring him 'home' to the Underworld so Gob can be reunited with Carol, his mother. Not like Charon has anything better to do while waiting around for Lone to return from traveling with some other companion.
Either Lone giving Charon the money to buy out Gob or giving him the orders to kill Moriarty (I personally prefer the latter).
Gob taking over the 9th Circle using the bartending experience he got while a slave for Moriarty, and Charon acting as his guard under much better and more ethical living/working conditions then when he 'worked' for Ahzrukhal.
They bond over their hatred of their former 'bosses' and their newfound freedom.
